I booked "Deluxe Single Fan" room for 5 nights @ this place. Huge mistake! It was everything but "Deluxe" about this room and hotel. The room I got was extremely small, with no furniture of any kind, not even hangers. The bad was squeaky and so uncomfortable, that I don't even want to go to details. stinky pillows completed the...

I stayed 17.-29. Juni '13 at Halolao Pacpackers and paid $ 9.50 (KIP 72'000) for a room with fan, indoor bathroom, a little balcony with a canvas chair and a table. It was clean and I had my privacy, as my room was separated from the others, near to some storage place, which was not very nice, but didn't matter...

The hostel is a it out of the main area, but you can get there in 10-15 minutes. We stayed here to save some money. The double room was ok and clean, we even had wifi. We had the feeling that we were nearly the only ones using the shared bathrooms, so that worked well for us. The bathrooms could...

The only reason I stay here, is because I had no other option. Though the room was cheap the ventilation was very bad. I could not sleep well as the mattress was very uncomfortable. The bathroom was a real downer.

3 of us stayed here after moving from another guesthouse that said they had triple rooms and clearly didn't. This came up as an alternative and looked ok. The staff are pretty unhelpful and my very friendly. Couldn't work out If its just a language or cultural barrier but nonetheless not helpful! Rooms are basic and you have to climb...

The staff could not speak English. Wifi connection was available only at the reception area. The rooms had really thin walls that we could hear everthing from the other rooms. The water pressure was so low in the shower. Its about 10 minutes walking to the main area of the place. Will never recommend or stay here again.

We booked a double room for 4 nights. It was sp noisy. You could hear everything from the rooms next to you. Wifi didn`t work at all. Staff was unfriendly and not really helpful (didn`t provide a map or anything else, couldn`t improve the wifi problems).

Stayed here in Feb 2013. Paid around 8quid a night (for a couple) and stayed in a private double room. The bathroom is located downstairs (shared bathroom) and unfortunately there is only 1 shower and 2 toilets.- however this was not really a problem and i never really had to wait to use either. The shower is not very powerful-...

Sorry to say that but this was one of the most terrible accommodations from all what we used during our stay in Asia. 1/ staff was helpful and although their English wasn't perfect (neither is ours), they tried as much as possible. The owner (or young man in charge) had a good approach how to solve all problems described below....

“Rooms at the "second" house are located mostly towards local cemetery. We have spent four nights in total there and all three nights and days there was a funeral. This basically means 72 hours of loud "singing" (or how can this be called) of prayers from amplifier. Fan was a bit dangerous on higher speed. Check the bathroom before you check in!!! There was a broken pipe at wash-basin in our and it took about two hours to repair it while we were waiting for the results sitting on the bed.”
  • electricity on a wood?? VERY dangerous
  • left side of the room
  • leaking water from the wash-basin
