This guesthouse is located in the centre of town, a 5 min walk from the night market and 13 m from the fruit and vegetable market. Rooms are a good size with a nice courtyard where breakfast is served and staff is very helpful.

With the morning market literally a few meters away and the night market/main tourist street just a block away, it was a pleasant surprise how quiet the hotel was. Down a small lane, the guesthouse had friendly staff at the reception tucked underneath a building. At a very reasonable price (and I booked very last minute online), I found the... More

Close to day and night markets, Royal palace and riverside. Friendly and welcoming staff, nice garden area. Tea, coffee no bananas always available. Breakfast very limited ..only choice eggs or not and how have them. Room very very dark so felt e rooms are very cool and limited bedding so difficult in the recently cold weather..might be lovely in hot... More

I stayed 3 nights / 4 days (January 2016) at this small hotel run by friendly and helpful staff with sufficient English skills to communicate and who happily arrange tours and transport for you. Excellent location, within spitting distance of the Mekong, restaurants and Luang Prabang's interesting night market. However . . . accommodation, services and breakfast are basic, and... More

First things first: this one is a winner. The location of Lao Lu Lodge is more than convenient. The Mekong river is around the corner, which makes it easy to start your day trips around Luang Prabang. Also the local sights, as well as the night market and various restaurants and cafés are within minutes walking distance. If you wish... More

We stayed 5 nights in triple room downstairs. It was rather dark but helped with sleeping. WiFi patchy in room but better at outside tables and common garden area. Very comfortable place & friendly staff who gave suggestions and booked transfers for us. Spot I central but quiet and aircon worked well

As other reviews state this lodge is ideally located near to both markets. Really welcoming day staff. Karlk (spelt wrong I'm sure) addressed us by name every time he spoke to us, really attentive and a wonderful smile. The wifi worked well from our room. We were downstairs and yes the room was darker but it really didn't bother us... More

Great location in the middle of LP. Located in a nice, quite alley. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and we enjoyed it but definitely no variety, you got fruit, a bread stick and eggs 1 of 3 ways. The was wifi was also horrible throughout our stay but this was overlooked due to the kind nature of... More

This hotel is in the middle of the Morning Market, which is only about 100m from the Night Market - an excellent location (without noise). The hotel is very attractive as a building with a large verandah. Breakfast was excellent with good choice. The beds, wifi and other matters associated with the room were excellent. The registration desk was occupied... More
