Spent 8 nights here. Lovely place, great location, helpful staff. Great value - would definitely recommend. Free tea, coffee and snacks. Had 3 large loads of laundry washed for free. All needs covered.

We spent 5 nights at the Phousab Guesthouse. The location is about the best you can do: a short walk to the Palace and to Mount Phousi stairs, and within reasonable walking distance to Wat’s northeast along the main road. Close to many restaurants and most of the key tour company offices. Quiet. Room was great: nice bed, nice shower...

We LOVED this place. For one thing, it was QUIET, which is hard to find in LP. (There's a building between the street and your room which blocks all the noise.) It's located right in the heart of the action- You walk outside and there's the Night Market! Room was comfortable and nice enough. Staff was friendly as can be....

I stayed in Old City Area of Luang Prabang for 5 Day. Phounsab Guest House enjoys its location where was very close to main interesting places in Luang Prabang eg. Mt Phousi, Royal Kingdom Museum, Temples, Coffee Shops, Restaurants, Night Market, Tour Agents & Street Food Stall. The room was simple, quiet, clean, and spacious in term of Guest House...

We stayed here twice as it is in a great position near the night market but it is surpsurprisingly quiet. The friendly staff and the reasonable price ($15 for a double room with air con, private bathroom and balcony ) meant we were happy to return there.

Wonderful location in the middle of everything, easy to walk to the sites in the old town. Easy walk to both rivers, minimarket nearby and the night market starts right outside (crepes, bahn my & more). The Hotel has a small office that opens onto the street & the rooms face an inner courtyard so have a view of roofs...

Like everywhere in Lao, the price of lodging in this nice guesthouse is a little expensive if you are used to prices in Vietnam or Thailand... But it is very nicely located right next to the night market and the Haw Pha Bang Temple. The room are nicely furnished, clean and the beds are very comfortable. The staff can be...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are the best kept secret in accommodation in Luang Prabang. Do you want everything Luang Prabang has to offer to be easy access for you? Do you want a safe, quiet, clean and serene room to come back to every day? No need to compromise. Our location is second to none, yet the guesthouse rooms are situated in a beautiful quiet courtyard away from the main road. Everything you wish to do and see, is at your fingertips here (No need to deal with Tuk Tuk drivers): * Early morning monk alms parade is on the main road just in front of the guesthouse. * all the travel agencies to book activities (elephant rides, sight seeing, rent motorcycle, bicycle etc) are next door. * All the restaurants are next door to the left of us. * Lao message parlours and spas are to the left of us, including wonderfull Lao herbal steam sauna (after 4:30pm). * Royal palace, theater and Phousi mountain are to the right of us. * Ferry to cross Makong river and hike (or bicycle) to temple with magical views of Luang Prabang is one block away. * Night market entrance is to our right. Including Fruit shakes, crepes, sandwiches. * Two mini-marts are infront of guesthouse, for your convenience. (open to 11:00pm) * Can park motorcycle and bicycle inside safe guesthouse courtyard. Though the entrance of the guesthouse is on the main road, a long corridor leads to the beautiful and serene courtyard, where your rooms are in total silence. (Also away from temples beating drums at dawn). Our rooms are newly renovated, clean and relaxing with A/C and refrigerator. Hot water and tea and coffe are also available.
