Loved our first floor Pioneer suite right at the back overlooking the mountains and particularly the vegetable garden with its two pet rabbits roaming free and the White egret following them. With the canopied roof sitting room and vast four poster sleeping area (with most efficient mosquito drapes) it felt more like staying in a private house than a hotel....

Though built a few years ago with all what is to be expected from well taken care of 21st century hotels, the buildings and gardens fit so much with the idea of French Indochina that it seems you are visiting old friends colonial house around 1920, somewhere in the pearl of the French empire. All details concur to create the...

We stayed at Luang Say Residence traveling with another couple mid January 2015. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Luang Prabang because coming back to the hotel after day-long tours, was like coming home. The hotel is lovely with gracious staff - Reception especially were handled by very knowledgeable and polite staff. Rose the Asst Manager was great. They basically...

Gracious hotel with beautiful architecture and rooms. Has old-world charm with spacious rooms (bathrooms are particularly nice). The hotel has its own organic garden and the kitchen uses all of these wonderful fresh ingredients. I had everything from extraordinary Eggs Benedict to a Laotian duck salad with herbs from the garden. Grounds and pool and simply lovely.

Yes of course it's wonderful. The hotel is simply magnificent, no other words for it. The staff, in particular the female more senior staff is exceptionally attentive. There is a Thai lady, a young Japanese lady and 2 ladies from Laos who are all equally professional. My view is simple: at the price you pay this should be the norm...

We called in here for coffee on our way to the airport and were impressed by the polite and attentive staff and the beautiful grounds. Luang Prabang is often our destination for a two or three day break with a group of friends. It is important to us that the hotel we stay in offers the opportunity to relax in...

Rooms were huge and every effort was made to make our stay extra special. Rudolf the manager was attentive and very caring. Rose - deputy...

January 2015 It was our second girls’ trip experience and we chose this hotel as offered by our good friend. I couldn’t say enough how much I enjoyed the décor in its colonial room, the service and the friendly staff. We spent 3 nights in Luang Prabang and we were assisted with useful information of places to visit and things...

This hotel is comprised of a series of buildings which house the rooms -- both upstairs and down. Beautiful well maintained gardens make the grounds lovely to walk through. The rooms themselves are large, with a terrace and two chairs. The bathroom we had only and a shower and not a bathtub. They provided a fresh fruits basket upon arrival....

Loved this hotel, built in the French colonial style. Very romantic atmosphere! Our room ( which they call suite, but it' s actually a double room) was tastefully decorated. It was situated on the top floor of one of the bungalows. It featured a small terrace with two armchairs, looking towards the lush gardens. The mattress of the bed was...
