This is one of the most amazing Aman resorts in the world and ultimately peaceful. It is in the center of the already peaceful Luang Prabang which is a charming colonial style town on the Mekong River. The resort exudes peace and tranquility and the staff is amazing. Everyone is genuinely friendly, kind and helpful. The architecture, the rooms, the...

We stayed at this property for a few days while visiting Luang Prabang. I have visited other Aman resorts , but have never spent actual overnight time. I can say unequivocally that this is one of the greatest hotel and location experiences ever. My wife and I have been fortunate to travel over the world, and have been at all...

Amantaka is a beautiful boutique hotel – only 24 rooms in a vast area - in Luang Prabang, close to the city centre. The rooms are big and very nice equipped. Half board is compulsory, but costs a $150 per day per person, including an excursion per day and one treatment per stay. The food is a set menu with...

We just got back from our trip to Thailand and Laos. One of the places we stayed was Amantaka in Luang Prabang. Great little "Unesco" town and Amantaka was an incredible place to stay. The General Manager, Gary is a world class host and the entire staff follow his lead and deliver a class of service that is beyond expectations!

Amantaka is certainly a jewel in the crown of lovely Luang Prabang. This historic, rather quiet( by Asian city standards), and well preserved city is a feast for the eyes. And Amantaka is the place to stay ...very well located, lovely rooms( we were upgraded so our experience was extra nice),mesmerizing evenings of lantern light and music, helpful and charming staff, and all...

Spectacular resort, perfect for a long holiday. The Hotel has been thoughtfully redesigned from an old French Colonial Hospital. The rooms are adequate and worth the price, though we found the room-service slightly slow. For example the person who was supposed to receive us at Airport reached late by 30 minutes, during which we had to wait at the Airport...

The Amantaka has a perfect position in Luang Prabang just yards from the Night Market and as you would expect from an Aman hotel it is very well run and beautifully maintained. Our room had a private heated plunge pool but unfortunately the position meant that it did not get the sun that often. It is a shame that the...

We also very much enjoyed our stay at Amantaka and for the same reasons as already so often mentioned by other reviewers. The room, food, location and, most of all, the staff, are terrific. I don’t feel a need to go into detail about these items as so many other reviewers have done such a nice job of that. It...

Amantaka is a great hotel if you are looking for a sanctuary of luxury and quietness in Luang Prabang. The hotel is in the center of the city, and most other restaurants and city attractions are walking distance. The restaurant is very good, with a choice of Western and Laotian food. The service is excellent, and the spa is highly...
