Stayed here for 3 nights with my wife. Right from when we walked in to the time we left for the airport, the hosts - Andy and Venus took fantastic care of us - food recommendations, things to do, arranging for transport, everything! Their setup is great, because we got to meet great people in their community breakfast area, and...

Stayed here for 4 nights and found the place to be lovely. Andy the owner is a lovely guy, full of local knowledge and always making sure your alright. My room was basic but spotlessly clean, as were the shared bathroom. Free tea, coffee and water all the time which is a nice touch. Excellent wi fi and compared for...

Thanks, Phil! you were cool for us, a great guest. our breakfast is pricey, but only because it is the best! compared to places like Joma or Benneton, we're by far the better value. But as you know, you can eat noodle soup in LPB for less than one dollar. and it's quality too. cool runnin's mi bredren

Our room was big enough for two people and wheelchair access is fine. The shower is similar to a wet room and the water is warm enough. Due to the location, we did eat in the markets. That was simply a matter of taste. Andy and his wife were friendly. The laundry was not super clean after first wash but...

Warren, I feel compelled to respond to this review in the following manner as a lot of your statements are not based in fact. And, you stayed here almost exactly one year ago, so I am concerned that time has clouded your memory on some of these issues. 1) the water from the showers is HOT. not warm as you...

There are so many similar properties in LP who could fit the bill of “clean”, “centrally located”, “value for money” etc but what gives the place the charm (IMHO) are the people who own and manage the place. Manichan’s charm is Andy, the owner – ever helpful, chatty, cheerful, a treasure trove of ideas and tips. Andy and his family...

Manichan guesthouse is ideally located, near all of Luang Prabang's best attractions. It's very clean and pretty, with lots of nice touches like unlimited free cold water and tea and coffee. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast looked delicious! The garden is very pretty and the river is just down the road. It's a great...

Truly 5 stars all around from the moment you arrive until it's time to go. Very clean and very affordable. My room was $16/night and that's a great price for Luang Prabang. A huge shout out to Andy and Venus for making my stay in LP memorable, comfortable, and awesome I wouldn't stay anywhere else-do yourself a favor and just...

Andy, Venus, Mali & all the staff at Manichan Guesthouse are fantastic and they made our trip to Luang Prabang the best we could have hoped for, we highly recommend a stay here. The breakfast and dinner options are great and there is a great selection of trips that can be arranged too.

Of the 4 places we stayed at in Laos, Manichan turned out to be the one we liked least, but then it was also the cheapest one. Well located in the "Economy Guesthouses Area" close both to day and night markets as well as to the Mekong. Good breakfast and home made jams were yummy. We were in a room...

The owner Andy was extremely friendly and made me feel welcome the minute I walked into the guest house. The location couldn't be any better tucked away in a quiet lane between the morning market and Mekong river. The guest house offers self-service drinks and complimentary tea and coffee for everyone. There's also a yard where you can socialise with...
