Highly highly recommend. Andy (Boston local like myself) and his Lao wife own this wonderful accommodation. Both are super accommodating to any needs, they know the area very well and can arrange anything you want. Room is very good, clean...AC cold and bed comfy (firm comfy). Self service bar (local tea) and laundry helps. Most excellent breakfast. And the court...

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Manichan Guesthouse! They are able to arrange airport pickup and drop off which is a big help. You can also rent bikes through them as well. Upon arrival they give you a tour of the ground and they always have hot water and tea available for guests. There is also...

Went here last week 4 nights with my dad. The owners are very nice people in deed. Andy keeps in good touch with his guests. The rooms are mediocre, as expected in a guesthouse. Communal bathroom has sinks whith the taps much too low! Drain in shower does not work well.

we stayed here twice in February 2017, rooms were very clean, staff were wonderful. The location is great and the breakfast was the best we had in two months travelling in SE Asia. Andy and Venus were wonderful hosts very helpful and friendly, between the 2 of them speak 5 languages. We had a fantastic time, do not forget to...

I stayed at Manichan last year and decided to come back again this year and again stayed longer than I had originally booked for. Rooms are comfortable, clean and airy. Shared bathroom is well looked after. Breakfasts are delicious and friendly as everyone sits at the communal tables. Andy will book tickets for onward travel or local attractions and his...

Couldn't ask for a better location in Luang Prabang - 30 seconds from the morning market, 3 minutes from the night market and about the same from the Royal Palace Museum, a short walk down to the UNESCO end of town. Despite being so close to everything, the street was quiet and we slept well for the five nights we...

I stayed for the second time at the Manichan. The service is extraordinary, The food is extraordinary. The location couldn't be better. Note the view hotels have noisy street traffic. Manichan is off a main street but right next to the morning and night markets. You'll get good advice and suggestions from the owners, Andy and Venus, will facilitate all...

I am a solo traveler, and booked about 5 nights here. Venus and Andy were wonderful - helpful, available to answer questions, funny, and just always checking to see if they could be of service/get me a drink/check to see that my day went well. The location was perfect - right next to the morning market and close to the...
