Clean comfortable room and, as noted elsewhere, dated bathrooms. Great location in a quiet lane in the old part of LP - if you're ina room at the front open the shutters in the morning for view of the alms giving. Owners friendly enough but too many tourists have taken their toll?

It is not one of the guest houses that you need touts to fill them in with people - once you get there you will probably stay. They are located just opposite the Xieng Mouane temple (it can be seen from the windows of 1st floor rooms located above the lobby), they are run by a group of friendly and...

We stayed in Luang Prabang for six days, moving to the Xieng Mouane guesthouse on our third day because we were so unhappy at our previous hotel on the outskirts of town. Moving to this hotel completely transformed my experience of Luang Prabang, and made me wish we'd stayed here from the very beginning. We had two rooms, as we...

I arrived in Luang Probang after 6 days on a bicycle in the north. I found the acoomodations to be most welcoming. While there were no special services, my room on the second floor was very clean, the bed extremely comfortable and the shower awter very warm. My room looked out on street level yet was not noisy. The main...

Xieng Moung Guest House is situated in the heart of old Luang Prabang, opposite the temple of the same name and on a street that runs parallel to the main street for shopping and restaurants on one side, and the street next to the Mekong on the other side. Our room was in an old colonial building that had lots...

Xieng Mouane is hidden down a little street in Luang Prabang. We were the only people there when we turned up, and thus got the "suite" room at a cheap price. This was a very big 2-room space, and pretty comfortable for what we were paying. The room was decent, although a little faded in terms of it's furniture etc...

My wife and I stayed at Xiang Mouane GH for 10 days. The room was spacious and clean. There is no heat in the rooms but the heavy blankets kept us warm. We were in Luang Prabang in mid January and the evening and mornings were chilly. The Guest House had a charm of its own with a nice garden...

We stayed 3 nights at Xieng Mouane Guesthouse, not in the main villa but in the building at the back. The guesthouse is really on the center of Luang Prabang, in a very quiet street. The staff is friendly. Our room was small, with view on the garden, and a nice decoration. it was very clean and pleasant, no air...

“I would stay away because she can turn on you if u say anything that displeases her. she is rude, always has been unfriendly and pretends she does not speak english but she does when it benefits her. the guys that work for her are absolutely adorable. the room is ok, the garden looks nice. but I would make sure that u check the bed has not been used and sheets are not changed and also the mattress has gone all lumpy when I checked with my hands...no way I would lay my body on that bed again. I would also fear saying anything that she may not agree with. she is dangerous, in my opinion. A good room? stay at Sayo next door.”
