I stayed in two hotels during my visit to LP, and this was my favourite. I stayed in a room on the second floor and from my balcony had a perfect vantage point to watch the locals celebrate the Laos New Year. Wifi was better than I expected it to be. The staff were lovely and helpful. The bed was...

We originally booked a standard room here for a 5 night stay and the room was to be expected (Room #10 upstairs): pretty standard and nothing fancy with no view of the river. It would have been just fine, however about an hour into our stay and once the sun went down, tons of flying insects began invading our room...

Reasonably priced and centrally located. Is opposite the river but you do not get any view of the river due to trees. We stayed in a room fronting the street and the street noise wasn't too bad. The bed was huge. Looks like 2 doubles pushed together. Massive. Air conditioning and ceiling fan but no fly screens so you can't...

The hotel is well located next to the Nam Khan river, adjacent to good restaurants and a stones throw from the main high street in Luang Prabang. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was of a decent standard. We stayed for six nights and would stay here again if we come back to Luang Prabang in the...

It was my first trip to Laos and I was not disappointed. The hotel is so clean and tidy. The staff at the hotel are attentive and accommodating to help with any situation. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The breakfast is plentiful.

Unluckily a wedding party took place just in front of the hotel during our first stay. Imagine to hear a bombing disco music starting in the morning until 11 pm. I suspect that the open space on the bank of the river just in front of the hotel is rented for such events. Better to check if my opinion is...

First off, the photo of the hotel restaurant is VERY misleading - the hotel does not overlook the river directly - there's a road and a grassy verge and trees - we chose this hotel partly because of this photo. Our superior room was downstairs next to reception and the washing machine, and both could be noisy. We had a...

I stayed at the Villa Ban Lakkhan for 2 nights from 8/2 to 10/2/2017 with another 2 friends. It was a nice little Villa and our room was at the first floor with the balcony overseen the Nam Khan River. When we reached the Villa, we were welcomed with the fruit drinks. The Hotel Manager was very nice and helpful....

We stayed for a couple of nights on our way back to Hanoi in upstairs rooms with a balcony. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and it was lovely to sit on the balcony and looking at the river and watching the world go by. We stayed with our children who were staying onto go backpacking and the staff very...

On our last visit two years ago I gave this guesthouse 4 stars so time to add one more. I thoroughly endorse other reviewers who all comment on the friendliness of Tom, Pai and Sai (I probably got the spelling wrong) which is always a good start. Our favourite room number 1 on the first floor provides a great insight...
