After some time in Thailand we had business in Luang Prabang and a colleague booked us into a very cheap guest house which we found unacceptable despite the price. So we moved to the Ammata, which we knew of from friends. It was a great choice. Well situated but quiet, with nice rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Wi...

It was our first yoga retreat to Luang Prabang. We checked into the Ammata Guest House as it came highly recommended from one of our practitioners who is a regular guest there. Deng and Noi who owned the guest house were very hospitable, and made our stay very welcome. The location is very central (right in the heart of the...

Wide, clean and confortable rooms in the city center. Breakfast not included but they have hot water for coffe and tea in the hall. WiFi and Aircon. 30$/night/double room. Maybe better rooms upstears for the ventilation and light. Personal speaks english.

Quiet location and close walk to the restaurants, river walk, or night market! Planned on staying 2 days and 4 days later regrettably left for the Plain of Jars. Very good housekeeping & the room with 2 beds was $30 USD per night! Very good find.

We really enjoyed this experience, great location, good dorms and normal rates. The service was good so nothing bad to say! We had a little problem with the room but it was quickly solved. Highly recommended option

Family owned and the pride shows. Paid $45 per night. Clean bathroom with western toilet. Had TV but who wants to watch on vacation? Wifi worked in the guest rooms...a big plus in Laos. Air con worked which was essential in the 100 F 100% humidity. I'll stay here again.

We had been staying at a pricier mid range place and were hunting around when we came across the Ammata. We would stay here again and highly recommend to others. We paid $45.00 US per night with no breakfast and booked directly with front desk. ROOM; Pluses! + Big sunny corner room. + Air Con and TV (neither of which...

Stayed 6 nights Feb 2014. Paid $35 USD/night for double. After seeing the other reviews online I was expecting something amazing and while it's definitely a good place to stay, it didn't wow me. This may be because we were in the 'older' building. It was fairly quiet but the bathroom (we were on the first floor of the older...

We stayed here for 5 days while in Luang Prabang and absolutely loved it. We stayed in the second building across the street that didn't have wifi, but that didn't bother us at all, there is a nice sitting area in front of the main building that we sat to get wifi. To say the owners were amazing is an...

Stayed for a few nights and really enjoyed the location. Right across from a small restaurant with very helpful owners, down the street from a Wat and around the corner from Big Brother Mouse. A couple blocks from the old town core it was quieter than other places that were in the centre but not too far to walk from....
