it should be a luxury hotel but there are certain things that puzzled me. Service at the restaurant is very very confused and dining is overpriced (32 $ per person for buffet, or 38 $ for buffet plus a little live entertainment, while outside you could dine very well in regular restaurants for just 10 $ ...). Spa services are...

The Mandalay Hill Resort is set in a quiet district of Mandalay. The only sound is the gentle chanting of the monks in the morning. Rooms on higher floors give a great view of the sunrise. Overall, this was the best hotel we stayed at in Myanmar. Whilst it lacks some of the traditional charm of some other hotels, it...

We stayed here as the first part of a river cruise holiday in the dry season ( December ) and found it excellent in every way. Quiet location, big rooms, excellent buffet breakfast and wonderful gardens and pool. Lots of helpful staff and great facilities. Expensive drinks, though ! Short walk to local temples and gardens but away from the...

The hotel is described well by other reviewers. We wanted to give readers an insight into something special - the spa! It is not only good value compared to Europe but amazing ambience , setting and perfect for after a long day of site seeing. They have put a lot of effort into making this a paradise away from home.

First appearance is that of a business hotel, not much ambiance. Room was small, both first 2 levels, couldn't upgrade to a suite due to they only have king bed and I was traveling with my adult son. Bathroom very small older style in need of upgrading. Room in need of maintenance. Very corporate feel service, but they try. Breakfast...

Very ordinary hotel in beautiful setting amongst the pagodas of Mandalay. Rooms shabby with tiny bathrooms and nasty food in the restaurant. Sadly there are not many other choices in Mandalay but this could be amazing if they spent money on it to revamp it.

Stayed in Mandalay Hill Resort from December 28-30, 2014 with my family. The hotel isn't in the middle of the city, but there are a few tourist locations that you can walk to. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. Food is okay. I would recommend that you try the traditional Myanmar breakfast. Tried it in most hotels of our trip to...

This hotel was build 20 or 30 years ago so don't expect modern room and great bathroom. Nvertheless, this hotel is very well manage and the staff is very professional and very helpfull. We had a very pleasant stay. The spa is also quite good.

The rooms and everything was great, the view of Mandalay Hill, the elaborate breakfast and don't miss out on the buffet dinner (which is quite expensive). Im not sure about the location as we had transportation provided, so if you are on your own you might want to check that.
