Close by the Palace. Within walking distance of the town, though you will find only tourists walk in Mandalay. Handsome entrance. Efficient service staff. Friendly and aware of the tourist. Food palatable, escape from local fare.

We had 2 stays here with a excursion to Pyin Oo Lyin in between. This is a very large hotel with lovely rooms and some have stunning view of the pool area and Mandalay Hill. Sure, the elevators (only 2) can be slow in the peak morning period. The dining room serves very good meals. Have your buffet breakfast in the...

We spend three nights at the hotel. The rooms are clean but they lack maintenance in some areas particularly in the bathrooms. The shower is not well fix to the wall and even if it will not fall you notice that it looks like something old and loose. The view to Mandalay Hill is very nice. The people at reception...

After reading the reviews on this hotel we did not expect too much, we were pleasantly surprised and cannot understand the complaints. Granted the location is a bit out of the way but it did not effect our 2 night stay. We arrived with our guide, who arranged our check in and we were given a welcome drink. Our room...

the hotel is clean, but has limited lifts. Two. And luggage has priority over guests. We and others at other times queued up waiting for the lift. Bell men said to wait, luggage went first. That is not a customer friendly hotel. I would have given a better review but--that was clearly policy given it happened repeatedly in this very...

It seems this is the stop for tour buses. Large hotel. Modern but needs some touch ups. Only 2 elevators. Great ac. Buffets were very good. Lots of local and other selections. Chinese restaurant was ok. Pool is beautiful. Good location. Had a great view of Mandalay hill and sunset from room 708.

Really shabby rooms, dingy towels, beat up furniture, definitely needs to be revamped and refurbished. The location is great. Breakfast was ok. Pricey for dinner. They had the worst currency exchange of all the hotels we stayed at on this trip.

The hotel itself could be fantastic. It's position is great, very close to many important sites, and close to Mandalay hill. The hotel grounds are extensive, lovely plants in what was obviously carefully landscaped area. The swimming pool is dirty, the "white " plastic edging is grey, broken and dirty. Surrounding tiling is also poor.We went past the outdoor restaurant...

OK here are the facts. This hotel could be so good but it needs refurbishment and a good team. The location was great, the views amazing and the room was good, but that is it. The pool a mess. Broken tiles on the steps, arround the pool very dirty, arround the pool many very sharp edges. Had a look at...
