A small friendly family run traditional guest house where the rooms are part of the family villa. As a matter of interest the new villa hotel next door which can be seen in some photos is also owned by the family if you are looking for something more sophisticated. My daughter and I however were fine with the somewhat dated...

We stayed at the Peacock Lodge for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. It is in a very nice, leafy sidestreet, and the garden is beautiful. The rooms themselves are in the family's old villa, which creates a great atmosphere. The owner's daughter-in-law is possibly the most helpful staff member I have ever enountered on holiday: she went...

We were expecting to find an average Guesthouse, but were very surprised to find such a charming place run by a very charming family. We had a nice room overlookiing the pond in the back we were on the first floor. It was blasting hot (begin April) and the AC worked just fine. We had a little fridge in the...

Overall very positive... this place had taxis ready, bikes for rent. a nice quiet location in a big city. A large outdoor area, big breakfast with strong coffee. Internet functioned. Water was hot but difficult to taper down to be cool enough to actually take a shower. The aircon hardly worked but i didn't feel hot with the fan. There...

Loved the Peacock Lodge in Mandalay. It was away from the hustle bustle but close enough to a nice little strip of restaurants and taxis. We stayed for two nights. Basic but clean rooms. Every single employee was so kind and helpful. They served a delicious breakfast and coffee in the mornings. After traveling a ton and eating out you...

The Peacock was our first choice of a hotel in Mandalay based on a recommendation of a friend. There were no rooms available for our first night in Mandalay and we had to change rooms for the two we spent at the Peacock. One was a simple older room while the other was a very modern new room. Both were...

We arrived at the front gate at 6.00 am after arriving on the night bus from Yangon. We were immediately invited in and offered a couch to sleep on while our room was prepared. At 8.00 we were woken and offered breakfast. This welcoming reception is priceless after a long, sleepless bus ride. We found our room to be new,...
