got to this place after a not too long walk from the train station. the place is located in a market area, next door to the Ein Daw Yar Pagoda and a short bike ride from the jetty. at night nothing in the area is open however next door is a reasturant that serves basic food, coffe and beer. there...

When I arrived at around 5AM, they allowed me to check in straight away, which was great. The breakfast on the rooftop is a lovely way to start the day. The basic room I booked had one big bed and its own small bathroom. The water wasn't always hot but it didn't bother me. The WIFI was slow, but that's...

Rooms at 22 USD/double/night is good. Breakfast is good on the roofterrace and the rooms are clean and are big enough. Reception people are friendly and help with bookings (they booked us a bus to Hsipaw).

This is by far the cheapest accomodation I've booked in Myanmar so it may be suffering by comparison. First the positives; the staff are very friendly, speak English and are fantastic; helping to organise tours and onward travel and adding little touches like booking the taxi to get you to the boat and giving you a slip with timings. A...

I would never recommend this hotel. The rooms are very old and need serious renovation. The staff is not very helpful and it all is very unorganized. To get something organized or just some information is not easy. They need a more mature person the organize things there. The breakfast was good but the location is bad for a single...

I stayed here as a backpacker for two nights. I got a room for 12 USD and it had a fan (it was sufficient) and a comfy bed. The location is alright -it's close to the palace. The free breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Don't go on tours with the hotel motorcycle driver, he is reckless...

The hotel is in a dingy location. The area is very dirty and smelly. The hotel is old and the rooms are dated. I had a comfortable sleep though and the bathrooms, though old, were clean. The staff was pretty good. They can organize tours, flights, bus tickets and all that for you. They also have laundry service which was...

Considering the huge and high hotel rates in Myanmar, this is an excellent option when traveling to Mandalay. Good location. Clean. Reasonable prices. Excellent breakfast which is served up in the terrace. Helpful staff. Rooms not too big, but enough. With a supplement you can have air conditioning. Stayed during four nights end October 2013.

This is not a bad place at all to stay. The staff is very friendly (like most people in Myanmar). They couldn't help me with everything, but that was not because they were unhelpful, they just didn't know some things that tourists would be interested in knowing. The breakfast on the rooftop is nice, and so is the room. Having...

The hotel doesn't have much atmosphere but it is okay for a few nights. The staff wasn't particularly friendly but they helped you when you asked them. We made use of the scooter rental which was perfect for a tour around the greater Mandalay region.
