Ocna Sibiului is a town with salt water lakes. The lakes were formed by the collapse of the ceiling of the salt mines in the area. Now the town is a touristic attraction. The hotel was clean, with good services. I strongly recommend it.

Just to clarify for possible visitors: Ocna Sibiului is just the town not the spa, in rumenian means something like "salt mine of Sibiu" and is an ancient settlement at least from roman empire when it was first started the salt mining here. Then it becomes a themal area very well appeciated during austro-hungaric period. Nowadays it is a small... More

We just had a weekend away to experience a Romanian Spa - the hotel was clean and service generally friendly. We made use of the mineral baths and spa services (massage) -other services are limited on the weekend but the massage was very good value. Breakfast was ok.
