The staff is very friendly but does not speak English and very difficult to have Agree with them. One young boy speaks but is rarely present in the house. The food in the restaurant is ok. The rooms are cool and simple. Many away from Mostar location is not good. Maybe this is the injury to such who prefer to...

We weren't sure if this accommodation was actually open based on the fact that the last review was from almost a year ago and one cannot book online anywhere. This sounded like the place to be based on the Bradt Travel guide by Tim Clancy. It's definitely still open, but we thought this was a bit of a let down....

If you are staying is Mostar, escape the hordes & commercial chaos around the Bridge & the unholy busloads at Medugorje & venture "off track" - way off track. Drive 22kms, 20mins (unless you get lost!!) to Podvelez for the best roast lamb ever. Well worth a visit.

Ismit the owner warmly welcomed us, proposed the right trail and even prepared us sandwichs and munchies for the trek we did on the mountains overlooking Mostar. The hotel is not really well indicated but you can follow your travelbook. Bedding was great, bathroom was cute and super clean, breakfast was heaven:)

the last stop of our cycling trip before descending to Mostar was Motel Sunce for a lunch. it was a nice surprise to find such excellent food here, served with warm hospitality and a good joke. we had a soup, chicken with sprouts, potatoes and a tasty mix of vegetables as the main course and pancakes with local berries as...

After driving half way up a mountain to arrive, we were not quite sure we were in the right place, and not sure it was right for us. Yet all that was quickly forgotten when Ismet ran out and welcomed us in to Motel Sunce. He made us feel right at home and did not blink an eye when I...

I arrived by bus on a Friday evening (the stop is across the road from the train/bus stations in Mostar) - not many buses per day. I was met, taken to a lovely room, and given a wonderful meal (booked in advance). All meals were superb local cuisine. On Saturday, with a packed lunch, I was given a lift to...

Modern hotel in a village of new buildings but in amongst this are the traditional village activities. Walk the village at 0730am and see the shepherdesses leading out the sheep for the day. Breakfast is traditional with local jams, supper is honest, simple local food. About 25 mins from Mostar but a different word! Excellent host and nothing was too...

Truly a special place. Ismet led us to snowy mountain tops, ruined castles, drinkable rivers, medieval villages, Bogomil necropoli, lent us bikes for evening rides down country roads, and fed us more than our share of delicious local food. Could not ask for more.

We stayed 3 nights at Motel Sunce which was a fantastic decision. 2 nights is not really enough to relax and enjoy the environs. Whilst Mostar is much too touristy for an overnight stay, it's an easy 20-30 minute drive from the motel as a day trip. The food at Motel Sunce is very good - all local produce and...
