First of all, best location and great hosts. Only bad thing was that not many people stayed here and was quite lonely. There is no real common area. I switched to another hostel within the walls which had more travelers and therefore was more enjoyable....More
Marco and his colleague (such a lovely guy!) couldn't do enough for me! Was so glad I stayed here, helped me out with a lot of things. Rooms are basic, showers etc good. Perfect for what I needed.

shows $17 U.S. a night, but Trip Advisor shows $45. Could you clarify this for me?

Brad... I was there a few weeks ago at $36.48 USD per person per night, booked through Hostelbookers. This was for a bed in a 4-bed room. I just looked at their website, and the lowest rate for a day in Sept (not so busy season) is $32.42 in a 6-bed room.
I might add... the location is great, half a block from where the bus from the airport drops you. And the staff are fantastic... very customer focused. I can certainly recommend this place highly.
