The hotel was very nice, though the room was a bit small by American standards. Water pressure in the shower was excellent. It was a bit strange how we had to take 2 elevators to get to our room because we were in the new wing. The included breakfasts (buffet) were excellent.

Charming courtyard, beautiful old exterior and bar area. Helpful desk staff. There is a large pool but it's not very private. The hotel is on the cruise harbor, so you'll have a view of water and docks and ships, but not of the Adriatic. It's a bit of a walk along a very narrow

Although the hotel is not in the old city it is in the new port area and an easy 10 min bus ride into the town.(if you’re looking for somewhere to eat close to the hotel one evening rather than go back into he old town I would recommend Taverna Otto. It was great good food and service. Now to your question: there is an excursion desk located in the reception that could advise and organise trips but in the end we did a trip to Montenegro with the chap who did our airport transfer (booked through the hotel). It cost about £250 but there was 5 of us so worked out not much more than going on a coach. It also meant we could be more flexible with times, itinerary etc. It was a long day but we’ll worth it.

End of March or any other date in April is perfect if you wish to calmly explore Dubrovnik and nearby area. Weather usually is not too cold but there are no crowds and is very peaceful so highly recommend.
