We stayed at Posada de la Luna March 9-16, just as the Covid pandemic was coming to full bloom. Besides providing us with a lovely, clean, restful place to stay (we were in the suite at the back of the ground floor), the staff never stopped giving us superb service. The breakfasts were delicious, whether we chose to stay in our room or eat on the beautiful small patio/reception area. Some people have commented on the distance from town. It hotel is only one long block from one of the main streets of town (where the bus depot is) and about 5 blocks from the heart of town. We are older and have a few mobility issues, so we found walking on the very narrow sidewalks and/or the cobbled streets somewhat difficult. but, if we were too tired, Uber or the omnipresent tuk tuks could easily take us downtown (Parc Central) for $2. We highly recommend staying at Posade de la Luna to avoid the downtown noise, and because of the gracious owner and staff.

My friend and I stayed here recently for 5 nights. It was very quiet and beautiful. The views from the upper rooms are stunning, and there are comfy daybeds on which to read. Because it is not in the city center, I wouldn’t choose this hotel as a solo female, but with a buddy we felt safe at night walking back to our room. Staff & owner are friendly. Breakfast (included) is absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, I left with bad feelings because as I was sitting outside waiting for my shuttle back to GC, I was told that one of my towels had a stain that could not be removed and needed to pay ~$4. It was 2 drops of foundation/makeup. I was told that there was a card explaining this next to my bed, but it either wasn’t there or I did not read the fine print or think it was relevant. I suggested they inform guests of this extra cost; it is not an issue in my past travels. Hope my feedback will provide future guests with this knowledge.

This hotel is beautiful. From the pickup at the airport to checking in at a late hour, the experience was excellent. All the staff were simply great and made us feel at home, They took care of everything. The room was spotless and so was the bathroom. The decor of the hotel was fantastic. We loved everything about this place. We had nothing to complain about. :) The breakfast is included and is a la carte. Good selection of hot and cold items. Very filling and tasty. The location is just a block from the Artisans Market and Central Mercado. Another 3 blocks and you are in the centre of Antigua. Very convenient. We felt safe at all times. A special shout out to David, Mauricio, Martha and Mindy - great service. Thank you. We made good friends with them.

This hotel is very clean and quiet. The breakfast is good, and the owner and staff are wonderfully helpful and accommodating. We liked staying a little bit away from the center of town. One of the rooms for our group was tiny, but the others were comfortably sized.

This boutique hotel is by far one of the best I have stayed in. The staff is friendly and welcoming, they will go out of their way to ensure you have what you need. They were fantastic at booking my tours and used only the best agencies. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is charming and cozy. I will definitely come back again and again. You will be well looked after and treated like family.
