Location wise it’s great as the hotel is literally right next door to La Bodegona (main grocery store), the market, and only a few blocks from Parque Central. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. There is a kitchen and place to refill water which I always appreciate. And they have a couple terraces which are nice places to relax. The staff are super lovely. Poor Wifi was the main negative for me. I moved to the main floor as there was no signal upstairs but it remained spotty in my room. There was no natural light being on the main floor (with the windows being to the hallway so I kept my curtains closed). On the night I was leaving a family moved in above me and omg the noise was crazy. I couldn’t have handled staying. So my advice would be to stay on the main level. Our room was quite spacious, next to the communal area and kitchen. The room was cleaned and tidied daily, Close proximity to the bus station and right next door to the largest supermarket in Antigua. Just a couple of blocks and within easy walking distance of the Central Plaza. Some noise from the communal area on occasion but generally a very quiet stay. There are several roof areas to relax in. Staff friendly and helpful. Wi-fi was excellent. No restaurant in the hotel, but many nearby.

Comfortable stay at Posada Don Valentino. Our second stay at this hotel, and we will continue to return. The rooms are a good size, beds are comfy, and the rooms and bathrooms are always clean. Great location in Antigua, easy to get to any part of the city.

First the good, common space nice enough. Staff friendly. Beds just ok. Not great, noise, shower, cleanliness. They could spend very little and add fresh paint , bed sheets, curtains.., they need to clean up the place. Old run down.

We appreciate the comments. We will look into what we can do to improve our image, although this hotel does not try to be something it´s not. Our hotel is in the old town of Antigua, therefore it is in an older style. We take pride in the cleanliness of our rooms and make sure that they are all up to our standards. We are a budget hotel, we are not the Marriott, so we provide clean rooms with hot water, free coffee, Wifi, etc. at a great price.

The room was nothing special and not inviting for relaxing. If you want a room to sleep and nothing more, it’s fine. The shared spaces were very nice, with a roof top balcony where we watched the fireworks at New Year which was amazing. The staff were very helpful and kind, although there was a mix up with our online payment that resulted in us taking out quetzales that we later didn’t need. We had a room with a double bed that was pushed against two walls and so was quite cramped, even for a couple. Our window was out onto what appeared to be a storage area for cleaning supplies, which meant we got to hear a lot of morning conversations from the housekeeping staff. The hallways were pretty loud too. It seemed most rooms had no exterior windows at all so I’m glad we had our one at least for a breeze. I’d be more satisfied except the price was inflated for New Year’s so it seemed expensive for what you got. At a normal price, it’s what you would expect. …

We appreciate the comments. This hotel is a budget hotel ($35 to $55) that offers clean rooms, hot showers and a helpful staff, but we are not the Mariott. So, with this budget price, we feel that our hotel is a very good value for guest that a looking to save some on the room to spend more on their adventure or gifts.

I stayed here just one night, nice place good value clean, friendly staff. Hard bed but I was so tired after 3 flights from Sydney I’d have slept on nails. The shower raised my eyebrows (see pic) Mins walk to everything😁😁😁

Great location near the bus terminal and close to the Parque Central, pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff, roof terraces with magnificent views and moderate prices with large discounts on weekdays. What's not to like? You can even use the fully equipped kitchen if you don't want to eat out three times a day, and you can enjoy eating in the quiet and beautiful patio in the back.

People nice at the desk, but don't get fool by the pictures; NO outside Windows, the Windows gives in a hallway: NOISY. Lack of hot water, lousy internet. Too bad because the location is good. Won't repeat.

I was very impressed with the customer service from start to finish, the staff really seemed to care that we enjoy our stay. The only reason I can't give a 5 is because the wifi is not included however it is something like $2/day, so not very difficult to obtain either! If you stay here, you will be well taken care of!
