Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

but that’s all the plus points already for this hotel. The central location to Plaza Mayor another. This couldn’t be better. Booked a room with two beds but changed on arrival to a room with one bed. Expected the bed to be larger but it’s the same size as the rooms with two beds. Rooms with two beds are much larger. Our room was around 3 meters x 4 meters facing door and window like the other rooms to a tiled inside walking passage. You can’t see if it’s raining or not, plus the noise in the night from other guests. No air condition so you need to keep windows to the main floor open. No TV but free Wi-Fi was available. Hotel arranged for airport transfer in the early hours.

I stayed at La Sin Ventura on a complete whim and I have to say - the photos online absolutely do not do justice to how cozy and nice this place is. Each room has thoughtful touches like a clothing dry rack, a shelf for toiletries in the bathroom, a full closet (with hangers!), plenty of soap, towels, and toilet paper, and a nice hot shower. There is also a beautiful coworking space and terrace with beautiful 360 views (perfect for watching fireworks!). The staff was what really made this place for me, kindly providing me with extra blankets, moving me to a different room when I had particularly noisy neighbors, and overall being extremely welcoming and accommodating. They also take COVID protocols seriously and I felt very safe while there. For a place that is literally feet from the Central Park, at a "budget hotel" price, Sin Ventura is unbeatable!

A safe place, a nice bed and bathroom, that's all I needed. You can go there by bike and keep it with you in your room. They warn you that there might be some noise because of bars around, but I haven't had any major problem with that. (yes, there's also a parking lot, but that's extra)

I stayed at La Sin Ventura on two occasions this month, first for 3 nights and then for a short overnight stay. Both times I had the same room - small, simple, basic but ever so comfortable and quiet. I didn’t hear a thing from the outside or other guests. I had my washing done and it was good value. Reception staff always smiling and willing to help. A special star goes to the guy at the little cafe downstairs. I’m returning.

Staff is great. Rooms are very clean and the location in perfect. This is my third time staying with them. While I am sure there are other hotels that are more luxurious, this hotel is priced nicely and a clean room and bathroom is what’s most important for me when I travel. Would highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a great hotel with basic accommodations.

For Q320 a night it's good value. It's a hotel, not a hostel. No dorm rooms. All private bathroom rooms, which are dated but perfectly fine and clean. Location is great in the middle of town and the bars /restaurants. Reception were very friendly and helpful. We extended our stay we were happy with the service. No breakfast on offer, but no real problem. The biggest problem was the noise. The rooms have a window onto the corridor. Very strange. But it is slated glass so cant really be fully closed. It meant that you could hear everything when people chatted whilst walking passed. You could also hear the neighbouring rooms easily. There is a large bar downstairs from the hotel (reception is on 1st floor) which can be heard from the rooms. I wont complain too much. It's a decent hotel for the price.

In Antigua, Guatemala, if you are staying at the Sin Ventura Hotel , you have made a wise choice. Economically it is a bargain that is a clean, well-run hotel with no frills but no short cuts either. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and exceptionally friendly. As to location, you are a very short distance from the Central Park, which is the heart of Antigua. The park is framed on every side by historic municipal buildings and colonial neighborhoods converted into beautiful shops and restaurants. The cathedral is on the east side and the whole scene is overlooked by Volcan Agua from the south, which shadows your every movement so you are never lost. A full mix of Antiguans and visitors enjoy the park for the live marimba music, relaxation and social contact. One of the most popular discos in town is located at the Sin Ventura, along with a sidewalk coffee and beverage kiosk. Shuttles to the airport are also arranged through the front desk for $10. Sin Ventura i a wise choice.

I stayed here for 4 nights during my very first trip outside Europe. Had a wonderful time the staff is so nice, the room is small but clean and it is so central. I had a good time dancing in the bar and on a next trip in the future i will definitely stay here again. Gracias a Alex y todo el personal!

The hotel is on top of a bar so at night there is loud music I could hear from my room (even with the windows closed). Nevertheless, this was a great place. I was within minutes (less than 5 minutes) from the central park. It is right next to Monoloco which is very convenient and even having a bar downstairs is great. I really liked the staff's attention. They were very helpful when I needed to know something from the city and its activities. I walked at night and felt extremely safe. Would definitely come back.

I stay at the Hotel Sin Ventura once a year when traveling from San Lucas, Toliman to Guatemala City. The price and location of this hotel are unbeatable. It is right next to the Parque Central, good restaurants, coffee shops, and other touristy Antigua attractions. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms themselves are minimalist, definitely not fancy, but a place to sleep. There is a lot of noise at night since there is a bar under the hotel and the hallways echo. But, again, the price and location make the stay here worth it! The front desk sells bottled water for about 5Q (2/28/18) which is half the price that surrounding shops sell it for. They can also help arrange a shuttle to the airport, my group paid $10/person (USD on 2/28/18).
