We had a lovely stay. The hotel is very nice. The garden is very beautiful with lots of flowers and is very quiet and peaceful. The hotel is nicely located - 15min walk from the main square, in a quiet neighborhood. The service is very friendly. And breakfast is excellent. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was good.
Quinta de las Flores was exactly as I remembered. Very clean, great service and delicious food. I love staying here when visiting Antigua. Such a peaceful place to stay and the staff always goes above and beyond. Carmen at the front desk booked our covid tests for us and printed out the results. She made what could have been a trying time consuming task completely simple.
Stayed a week, they were great! Restaurant has very delicious food!! Bed was incredibly comfortable, wifi never had an issue. The grounds are nicer than almost ever hotel you will find out there! Hammocks and a pool!
We truly enjoyed our double queen room but do be forewarned that this hotel is close to the edge of town on a pretty dark cobblestone street. We had been told that taxis and tuk-tuks were easily available but did not find to to be true. Had it been warmer, we would have truly enjoyed the lovely grounds and pool; as it was, we really appreciated the on-site restaurant that is for guests only. Should you have a car, or kids, I think this would be the perfect choice in Antigua.
This hotel was beautiful with lots of nice touches with the decorations. Gardens and pool are lovely. Nice hot showers and the bed was super comfortable. Very clean and staff friendly. Would definitely stay again.
I figured that Quinta de las Flores couldn't be as nice as it appeared to be in photos, but I was happily wrong. A beautiful, tranquil, colorful place. We stayed for two nights at the beginning of a two-week long Guatemala trip, and then again for two nights at the end. -- it was our splurge hotel. It -- and Antigua -- was the perfect easy introduction to the city and country, and a perfect place to unwind at the end. Big, non-cookie-cutter rooms, incredible flowers, and excellent, covered but outdoors restaurant. The pool is small-ish, but usable to refresh, and the staff is very helpful. As there was availability, they allowed us a (very) late check-out on our last day for a small, very reasonable fee, which essentially gave us a whole extra day of vacation. Also, we always walked to/from the center of town. First of all there is plenty to see en route, and also Antigua just invites it. Tuk tuks are easily obtainable, though, if wanted. Highly recommend. Oh - in relation to the construction - I read the post just before departure and was concerned, because the whole reason for the splurge was the quiet, and the grounds. We were in rooms 10 and 12, and there was some construction going on, but I didn't hear a thing, and we spent our last day at the hotel itself, so hopefully the building is further along and/or they have worked on better soundproofing.…
We have visited Antigua 10+ times and this might be my favorite place so far. Unless you want to pay top $$. This is a great choice. My wife and daughter rented a small house, casita, on the property. Ideally go for casa #5. It is the end unit and has a great view of Augua. Also there is a hammock at that unit on the lower patio. Anyways it is great here. The fountain in the small courtyard is always running. The pool is great for the kids. There is even a nice playground. The square is a bit of a walk so oftentimes we just took an uber. Only about $2 wherever you need to go in Antigua. We find uber here even less expensive than the tuktuks. The food here is also good. We have done dinner and my wife on a previous visit had breakfast here each morning.
Quinta de las Flores is a real gem in busy Antigua. The hotel sits slightly on the edge of the small centre and it's an oasis of tranquility. The gardens were a real wonder for us and completely unexpected. Rooms were very clean and many little touches made this a real personal experience. Carmen was incredibly helpful.
I just stayed five nights at Quinta de las Flores and it is a lovely place. The rooms are large and airy, the staff is pleasant and the grounds are beautiful. It is a good 20-minute walk to the Plaza, so so you will need Uber or catch a tuktuk outside the gate. Two ‘buts’: They don't tell you when you make the reservation but they are constructing new cabins at the end of the property which means lots of pounding and other construction noise from about 7 a.m. to around 6 p.m. If they don’t have rooms in numbers above at least 10, I would stay somewhere else until the construction is over. Second, I definitely would not use the driver that they send to pick you up. Due to his excess speed, he spun out of control on the highway from Antiqua to the airport. I was very lucky to walk away alive. I wrote the hotel and they have not responded so I wanted to put it out on on Trip Advisor so that no one else ever goes through what I did.…
My family has visited Antigua multiple times. This was the first time staying at the Quinta de las Flores. Our stay was fantastic. Miss Carmen was wonderful in that she helped us not only with our stay at the hotel but also arranged transportation from Guatemala City and a local tour. The grounds were inviting to just sit outside and take in the beauty. We had multiple meals at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food. When we return it will definitly be to this hotel.
