I highly recommend you try this hotel , even for one night. Staying on the grounds and being able to wake up and walk this amazing property is worth the price of one night or more. Our room was amazing-one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. The grounds are worth the price of the room. The restaurant...

If Antigua is a unique town, this is a unique hotel, a former monastry where the elegant ancient atmosphere is kept untouched. Needless to say, our praise goes to the people who run this hotel. Good taste, attention for the details, friendly staff, promotion of culture and history are our awards to the Hotel Santo Domingo. A last, constructive note:...

I love this place. We usually stop here after a very long week of standing on our feet in surgery in a remote area of Guatemala, followed by an 8 hour bus ride. Walking into the clean and very comfortable, air conditioned room at Santo Domingo is such a treat. The bathroom is equipped with every amenity you need. I...

We stayed there for a few days. We had payed for the room well in advance of our visit. The grounds were beautiful. Our room was beautiful, but no air conditioning. Also the door to our balcony did not lock. The restaurant food was great and the menu was original, although the staff had an attitude and were incompetent. We...

I have stayed at the santo domingo over a dozen times since 1999. I have gone to weddings, brought students from the states and gone to several conferences there. The staff there is wonderful.. If they are the maids or groundsman. The management and front desk staff are unprofessional, stuck up, and know nothing about the hospitality business. Reading the...

Just stayed a week for a business conference. The place was great! We had over70 people from Latin America and the United States. Everyone loved it. The staff was great! The tours we setup were very nice and educational ( I did the coffee tour and will always appreciate my coffee). Dinners were great and some very good restaurants close...

It is nice to know that you enjoyed your stay at our Hotel and also, visiting La Antigua Guatemala. We want to let you know that one of our future projects is to install air conditioning in every room. We would like very much having you as our guest in a near future.

I recently attended a business event held at the hotel. This is a lovely property on the edge of the old city. It is a combination of hotel, historic site and museum. The food in the restaurant was quite good, although the portions tended to be on the small side. Try the tacos ... absolutely delicious. Be sure to take...

This hotel is one of my favorites in Antigua. I have stayed there for business meetings and wedding parties. It is spectacular. It used to be a monastery of the Colonial times and they turned it into a 5 star hotel. The food is delicious... specially the buffet on Sundays! The service if you stay there or want to plan...

Casa Santo Domingo represents an island of solitude from the hustle and bustle of La Antigua outside the front door. The hotel itself gives an intriguing insight into a 16th century monastery in surroundings that would make a monk break his vow of silence. Behind the fairly innocuous door from the street is an amazing maze of corridors, restaurants, pool,...
