If you want to relax and have an exclusive or unforgettable experience in Antigua, this is not the place to stay. Nice to see it for its history and bit of colonial architecture which is left, but the hotel is not 5 stars as it claims to be and certainly does not seem to care much about its guests but... More

One could not ask for more genuine set up for a hotel in this ancient city. In addition the rooms are spacious with a wood fire place. Just avoid the Sushi restaurant. Simply terrible. Highly recommended hotel besides the food !!!

We stayed there during our honeymoon. This is a wonderful and luxurious historical hotel in the centre of Antigua. It was perfection, from the great rooms, nicely decorated, spotless and comfortable, to the hotel facilities, which were really worldclass. The gardens around the hotel are just beautiful, and there are also some interesting things to see, from ruins of a... More

This iplace is something out of this world. To our knowledge it was a monastery. It has many museums, churches, art galleries, statues, excellent restaurant. We never saw a hotel like this one in the world. Simply amazing. The room is spacious, has fireplace, nice and comfortable bed. Quiet rooms. Excelllent service. Very friendly and professional people. If you go... More

After a day spent walking around the colonial city of Antigua, pass through the gates of Casa Santo Domingo to enjoy an oasis of beautiful gardens away from the bustling town of Antigua. Stroll around and enjoy the flowers, sculptures, artisans and macaws.

Excellent Facilities, excellent SPA, very nice gardens and very good located. I would have preferred more open air dining/lunch options and more Restaurant Options. I appreciate good service but also believe the rates are extremely overpriced, considering other similar options in Antigua

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen. The grounds with the ancient ruins and gardens is beautiful. Rooms are lovely and reflect the overall period décor. Service was excellent. A must see in Antigua!

The hotel is set in what at times appears to be a jumbled mix of styles but retains its Spanish Colonial flavor through smart architectural smoothing of the different properties that were blended over time to achieve one of the best preserved truly colonial hotels in Latin America. Outstanding service accompanied by a fine restaurant complete the palette for a... More

We had a wonderful, quiet room with a beautiful balcony overlooking green-areas and ruins. Room service was efficient, well put together and delicious. The highlight of our trip was our time at the spa. The new spa is beautifully designed with amber-sculptures placed in mediterranian style bath houses surrounded by beautiful green jungle like folliage. We arrived in the afternoon... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Casa Santa Domingo. I cannot be more positive--it was terrific. Our room was beautiful, the grounds and buildings were a monastery and the sculpture, architecture, and just everything are magnificent. The restaurant on site was excellent. Overall it was a dream.
