There is a reason this hotel is ranked at number 1, it is outstanding. We were looking for something quiet, with real character and well cared for and Cirilo gives you all this in style. This is the best small city hotel we have ever visited. The rooms are generous and quite stunning. The gardens which are set in the...

We spent 2 nights at Hotel Cirilo last week and we loved it. Lucky is so gracious and welcoming. All of the staff was helpful and constantly working. Enjoyed the included breakfast; it had ample variety. Coffee was especially delicious. We stayed in Room 6 and it was large with a fireplace, tiled bathroom and a dressing area with solar...

I can not say enough enough wonderful things about this hotel, its staff and virtually everything about it. I stayed here recently with my girlfriend and we could not have been happier. First off the grounds are beautiful with architecture that blends in beautifully with the ruins that Hotel Cirilo sits on.. Ricardo is a wealth of information and wants...

Hotel Cirilo was such a refreshing place to stay. Ricardo, Lucky, and their staff were ever so helpful and professional. They really took care of us, from the reservations to transportation to and from airport and around town. We had the very end room and it was marvelous. Such a picturesque view. The food was delicious. The pool is not...

My husband and I spent our first night in Guatemala at Hotel Cirilo. We were visiting during Semana Santa (Holy Week). This was our first time in Guatemala and our Spanish is poor. The owner, Ricardo, we very helpful prior in helping plan our trip--his English is excellent and he provided lots of great advice by email. When we arrived...

We arrived at Cirilo after a long flight, tired and exhausted. Arriving at Cirilo made it all worthwhile and set the bar incredibly high for the rest of our trip. We were shown to our room to find we had been upgraded to the suite. The room was beautiful, spotless and overlooked the pool and peaceful gardens. Breakfast was amazing...

Hotel Cirilo in Antigua, Guatemala is a sanctuary that you will love to come home to. It is serene, beautiful and envelops the history of ancient ruins. Ricardo is a charming host and the staff are extremely accommodating. The hotel is walking distance to downtown Antigua or the staff will organise a tuk tuk.

This property has only 7 rooms, but the feel is like being in your own home (palace). The best room is number 7 with fireplace on a corner. The property is nested in a former church, and the property landscape is perfect for this place. Each room has it's own bathroom, in sometimes fireplace. Bed is firm but comfortable. No...

My best friend and I were traveling to Guatemala city for three days. Upon arrival, we were not impressed, but we had already booked and paid for hotel. When we read the reviews about this place and found out that they had availability, we packed our bags and grabbed a cab to Cirilo. It was the best decision! We met...

Stayed here for 6 days and enjoyed it a lot. Agree with prior review that it feels like a B&B but has small hotel services that are great. All rooms seemed nice...and note that all are on ground floor so no one tromps overhead. Real advantage is the small "restaurant" with all-day dining -- great if you have been whirring...
