My best friend and I were traveling to Guatemala city for three days. Upon arrival, we were not impressed, but we had already booked and paid for hotel. When we read the reviews about this place and found out that they had availability, we packed our bags and grabbed a cab to Cirilo. It was the best decision! We met...

Stayed here for 6 days and enjoyed it a lot. Agree with prior review that it feels like a B&B but has small hotel services that are great. All rooms seemed nice...and note that all are on ground floor so no one tromps overhead. Real advantage is the small "restaurant" with all-day dining -- great if you have been whirring...

Hotel Cirilo is a bit outside of the city center, but an easy walk or a very cheap taxi ride. Beautiful interior and very comfortable rooms. The service is very attentive. They tolerated my desire to speak my broken Spanish without a flinch. The airport pickup was perfect. They arranged a ride for me to Chichicastenango, but the vendors cancelled...

We recently stayed at Cirilo on a vacation/volunteer trip to Antigua. This hotel is the perfect distance from the hustle and bustle of downtown Antigua. We walked to dinner, shopping, etc everyday. It is a quick and easy 10 minute walk. The hotel was impeccably clean, food was excellent, and service was above and beyond. The staff was attentive and...

This is a very well designed beautiful hotel with a very helpful staff. The hotel is built alongside the ruins of an old church. One of the rooms even incorporates its inside wall with the outside wall of the church. The food is excellent. The pool is great. The prices are very reasonable.

We recently stayed at Cirilo on vacation in Antigua. The service at the hotel was really first-rate, with all of the staff going above and beyond to help us. The property is beautiful; room was comfortable (with fireplace!) and spotless. Breakfast was yummy too; there are six different meals to choose from. About a 10-minute walk to "downtown" Antigua. Highly...

From the street you would never guess what a beautiful oasis of calm exists on the other side of the wall. Rooms are large and the hotel is architecturally interesting. The garden is lovely as well. Management couldn't be more helpful. The very reasonable room rates include an excellent breakfast. It seems to attract visitors who are there to enjoy the...

Antigua is beautiful and Hotel Cirilo is an exceptional value. Built into ruins, the property is straight out of Architectural Digest. It is a jaw dropper. Details like preparing me a special breakfast to-go because my flight was early in the morning before the restaurant opened make this property 5 star. The pool was way to cold to swim in...

We just returned from five days in Antigua Guatemala and our stay at the Hotel Cirilo will be one we always remember. This place is VERY unique. We have been in many countries, but have never stayed in a ruined church before. We stayed in Room 6 and found it to be quiet, spacious and everything we were looking for....

Wonderful place, wonderful staff, Ricardo drove us in his own car to the town on the first night to eat. This was our honeymoon, we stayed for 3 nights before going to lake Atittlan and I most definitely recommend this place.
