This is a remarkably beautiful place built into the ruins of an ancient Spanish colonial building. Wonderful breakfasts, terrific host, and a very accommodating staff made my trip to Antigua most relaxing. Very clean and blissfully quiet at night since the hotel is just a little off the beaten path.

The service is first rate; Oscar - a kind and able manager- met us and quickly arranged our local and airport transportation as well as an immediate trip for a round of golf; the property is beautifully kept; flowers everywhere; you can start your day with fresh fruit, an omelette and warm bread and end with a fire in your...

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Oscar the man in charge took great care of us before and during the stay. We stayed in room 6 which was very romantic and pleasantly outfitted. The hotel put rose petals all over the bed and floor and made it a special stay. Breakfast was great and service was too....

We had a lovely 3 night stay in Feb. (I'm a bit late posting this review!) We were traveling in Guatemala for our 3rd wedding anniversary and Oscar (GM)/staff had decorated our room with lovely rose petals -- a very thoughtful (and much appreciated) touch. My favorite part of the stay was the morning -- I absolutely loved having breakfast...

What a lovely, quiet, charming and beautiful hotel. Away from the traffic noise but a short walking distance to the center of town. Only a total of 7 bedrooms with a dining room, spacious but quaint lobby and a gorgeous courtyard. We had an elegant and rustic room within the walls of an old church compound. Oscar, the manager, could not have...

Our positive experience started before we arrived. Oscar, hotel manager, emailed us a personal confirmation and provided options for transport from the airport to the hotel. We were greeted by our driver at the airport. He was professional and courteous. Oscar greeted us on our arrival. He is friendly, helpful, and possesses a wealth of information about the area. Our...

Stayed here for 3 nights late Jan - early Feb. After a long flight from the UK we arrived at around 9PM to find the place almost deserted. There was a night manager/caretaker who could not speak English but was friendly, who showed us to our room. The whole place was eerily quiet, and we could have done with some...

We stayed at Hotel Cirilo because they were the only hotel in town that had a room with a king bed for us and another bed for our daughter in a loft area (Room 7). So glad we did!! What a lovely and peaceful place!! Our room was historic, with exposed brick everywhere, the staff was so friendly and helpful,...

We can only confirm the glowing reports already here. Quiet, being a bit away from Centro is an advantage. Rooms and public spaces are outstanding. Breakfast was wonderful, with the best OJ and coffee, yum. But, the best is Oscar. The perfect host, not content until all your needs and wants are taken care of. If you go to Antigua,...

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. We had dinner at Hotel Santo Domingo and were thrilled we chose to stay at 7-room, peaceful, serene, romantic Cirilo. Sunned at the pool, Lit a fire in our fireplace every night. Excellent food and service. Hotel manager, Oscar, is fabulous.
