This was our 4th trip to Antigua. We had always stayed at Posada Don Rodrigo, but we decided to stay here this time, and we were glad we did. For the price, I think this is the best option in all of Antigua. We stayed in the San Cristobal suite, which I would recommend, it is upstairs, very private and...

Staying at this B&B felt like staying at your favorite aunt's home. Caty is fluent in English and very helpful with tips and advice on exploring Antigua. Her staff welcomed us warmly and always had a smile on their faces even though we blundered through our elementary Spanish. In particular, I loved having eggs made fresh in the mornings the...

I absolutely loved my stay at Casa Ovalle. My first impression of the B&B was how meticulously maintained the common areas were - the antiques perfectly arranged in the sitting room, the beautifully landscaped garden and the pristine kitchen and dining rooms. My room was on the main level and it was quaint with antique decor. The bathroom was smaller...

It is a very homely feeling to live in this B&B. Some other reviewers were complaining about the noise in the morning. I have to say this. I love the noise. It reminds me of the days when I was young and in the morning I was waken up by grandma preparing breakfast for me. The hotel is blocks away...

We arrived at this hotel and were helped by the dentist, who I beleive must be the owner, a really friendly helpful man. Our room was quite large with a lovely shower. We wanted to get a taxi to take us to the airport the following day and it was all organised for us the cost for 2 people to...

We loved it here the moment the big wooden doors opened. Everyone was so wonderful to us especially Caty and Carmen. Our room was lovely with bottled water and a pitcher of purified water everyday. Great location to walk the city and wonderful dining all around. Breakfast was wonderful and we were treated to tamales and black beans. Beautiful terrace...

I've spent many nights in Antigua on various trips. I must say the Casa Ovalle not only has a familial feel to it, but the boutique hotel offers everything a traveler could ask for. The entire staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The hotel is within blocks of the center of Antigua, which is of...

We got to Antigua for the second time as a stop station on the way to Lankin. But I felt very bad after the ride from Lago Atitlan so we decided to stay another night in Antigua. We got to know Casa Ovalle when we were just looking for a place to rest, and since we entered that place we...

This little B&B was very quaint and homey. The breakfast is good and the decor is cute. The rooms are spacious and the garden in the courtyard is very lovely. The staff is extremely nice as well. The heart of Antigua is only a few blocks away- definitely within walking distance. I would recommend this to families looking for a...

We just returned from spending 3 nights at Casa Ovalle. Loved the convenient location and the quietness of the area. We found the room exceptionally clean, the bed extremely comfortable, and the breakfasts outstanding. The staff went out of their way to be helpful; my husband especially appreciated getting a box breakfast for his early departures to go birding and...
