My wife and I staid at the Chapman House (next door and part of Veranda House) for our 1-year anniversary. The location couldn't be better (a few minute walk from downtown), charming accomodations combining the early 1800s house with a more modern decore, and great staff that went out of their way to accomodate our needs (don't miss the complimentary...

Stayed here Memorial Day weekend, which due to the Figawi yacht race is one of the busiest on the island. The visit was very pleasant, with the location and decor being the standout. Room 3 is front right on the second floor when facing the property and is a decent size and stylishly decorated. Bed and linens were great and...

We visited the Chapman House the weekend of Oct 23-25 and loved our stay. We spent a lot of time in the living room of the Veranda House reading, enjoying local wine and the company of other guests. Carl was really amazing and truly had warmth that I never expected from a General Manager at a bed and breakfast. He...

I stayed at The Veranda House years ago and this past September I stayed at The Chapman House next door and it was fantastic. The location, the decor, the friendliness, convenience... it had it all. Raegan Large was the inn-keeper that took care of us during our stay was wonderful. She put a personal touch on our stay, understood what...

We stayed at the Chapman House in late August for two nights. The location is perfect -it is a short walk (less than 5 minutes) to the center of town and because of this it is away from the hustle and bustle of town along a quiet, residential street. It is also a 5 minute walk from the Steamship Authority...

Location is walking distance to Wharf, Ferry, Whaling museums, shops and restaurants. Freshly baked Chocolate cookies and private patio and lovely cozy sitting room. Steep stairs, no elevators, tiny rooms and bathrooms.

We had the most wonderful experience this summer at the Chapman House. When I booked, I let them know I couldn't eat gluten or dairy. Upon our arrival, Reagan confirmed this and each day prepared a homemade baked item that was both gluten and dairy free. The best part was that you couldn't tell...she's a talented baker! My husband happily...

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Chapman House for our first wedding anniversary. My husband typically prefers larger hotels or resorts, while I tend to go for smaller, boutique inns or B&Bs. While the Chapman House is very much the latter, it absolutely satisfied both of our needs! We live in a "historic" (read: very old)...

Great location, breakfast, and staff. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights just before Independence Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The innkeeper was knowledgeable, friendly, energetic, and an excellent baker. Breakfast each morning included yogurt (with optional granola, nuts or seeds, and fruit), two breads, bagels, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice - small but filling. Our...
