Stayed at the Colombia sister property. Simply outstanding. The location is in the heart of Old Town looking over a lively Plaza. The suite has superb marble finishes, a comfortable bed, two stories, and good amenities. The large balcony is the bonus, looking out over the Plaza and its restaurants. Great service from Andres, diving us the short distance from La Isabela and staying in touch throughout, including helping us contact our next apartment. Highly recommended.

I can't say enough about how delightful our stay at La Isabela - or Casco Viejo - was. I booked this room based on reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Andres ensures you feel as if you are the only person staying at his hotel, which is lovely. Our room was gorgeous - beyond gorgeous - and we will stay again. Casco Viejo isn't to be missed. The energy of the people and history of the buildings was one of the best experiences we had in Panama.

We stayed 5 nights in a one bedroom suite in its other building called Hotel Columbia. A few wonderful offerings were immediately noticed. Two examples were the very fluffy and very white towels (we felt very spoiled) and a Skype messaging set-up to be used to communicate to the staff in the main building. Boy, did we receive a reply back right away (So efficient and so 21st century). In the first couple of days, a few minor issues about the suite were discovered. Every one of them was resolved within 24 hours. To compensate for our inconvenience, the manager kindly offered a free upgrade to a 2-bedroom suite in the main building for the remainder of our stay. We declined based on personal reasons. This hotel is well run because of its very professional staff. I would have given a 5-star rating had it not been the live music being played outside of our window from 8 to 11:30 every night. (The building faces a plaza. There were three restaurants on the first floor. To entertain their dinner clients, live music was played. Our suite was on the second floor facing the plaza. For an early nighter, it was a little annoying.)…

This was our second stay at La Isabela Suites and again the staff did not disappointment us. The ammenites are room and immaculately arranged, crown moldings and such details into care. Again, the staff is available to help with any issue and to answer any questions. Quality is always high and visiting again made our vacation.

This hotel is in the heart of old town Panama. Close to shops, great restaurants and bars. Andres the GM was fabulous arranging tours, airport pick ups and drop offs and making dinner reservations. He is awesome! Have Andres reserve a tour of the Canal or old town( we did both) with local guides. We did not know Panama had such history!
