I don't often write reviews but felt that I had to due to the number of negative reviews and comments I read before going to the resort. I went with my family for 7 days and we just returned this past Sunday. This resort is amazing. The staff is SO friendly and helpful and they all spoke English. Another thing...

Food was really good, especially ALL of their fish. Loved the Potato Salad. I didn't know how much you can change potato salad, and still taste just like it does in the States. The deserts need help. They only have the little custard type deserts that you see at Chinese restaraunts. However, since they don't have cows on this island,...

This resort is absolutely beautiful and the location is superb! We had a junior suite with an ocean view that provided a breathtaking view with ships waiting for entry to the Panama Canal. It is located on the Pacific side and was the perfect spot to enjoy a colourful sun rise! Rooms are nicely decorated and includes a mini bar....

Beautiful, well manicured and maintained. Everyone is friendly and helpful. This is truly a great vacation resort, as is every Secrets we have stayed at. We have a membership and are enjoying every minute of it.

Ok after reading all the reviews I was a bit concerned....but we had a great time. You can tell the resort is trying hard to meet customer requests. Read there was no bacon...we had bacon every day for the last four days. Buffet had theme every night and food was good...Bit repetitive-desserts especially poor-biscotti's and cookies are the best! Read...

Just got back from Dreams Delight. Reading the reviews here, I was prepared for the worst. My honest opinion, the hotel is great and the staff works extra hard, but, they need to at least double up on the people that work there. Check-in took longer, because they expect 2 ladies to clean up the entire floor in 2 hours....

What a pretty resort! We were there Feb 14-21 and enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms ( all with an ocean view and balcony) were very nice, clean and comfortable, the food overall was quite good, the staff helpful, responsive, and friendly. Both pools were well maintained and there were plenty of deck chairs both at the pools and...

My husband and I stayed here Jan 26-Feb 2. I read some negative reviews and think we must have stayed at a different resort. The resort and the rooms are very clean and completely adequate. We never had any problems getting towels The staff were very attentive and friendly- often remembering our names days later. The pools were great. We...

Rooms were ok, not luxury. Location, far from everywhere. No stores, bars, ...taxies very expensive. Don't believe them about having 5 restaurants. Though there are 5 and a snack bar, some are closed for days. 4 nights only 2 were open. Sea food 'Oceana" was open for ala carte 2 nights only and 1 night for a boring buffet. Lunch...

“You have to put a room card in a slot to work the lights, like some cruise ships. The fridge doesn't get that cold, but probably needs to be replaced with a newer model. ALL of the rooms had ocean views, and it's hard to beat that! Get up before 7:00 if you want a nice pool cabana, but don't leave a couple things and come back in a couple hours and expect to get your chairs! People don't like doing without a chair/lounger when you are not even there to use it. The staff will collect your stuff and move it off for others to use if you don't return in an hour! LOVE THAT PART!! We saw a handful of people stake out places at 7:00 and then not come to the pool until 10:00-11:00. NOT COOL! If you are a late riser, people do start heading back indoors after lunch so just do without until people leave and go to the bar if you need shade. If you are one that insists on poolside service, don't expect it in Panama! They have lots of staff, but very few ever get around to asking for your drink order. I was asked 1 time all week, but we were ok with going to the bar to get our cokes, water, or occasional margarita. We are timeshare people, and we don't expect to be waited and served while we lay our lazy butts down at the pool. We would rather pay less and get our own drinks when needed. However, I know there are plenty of couples out there use to how other resorts in other Caribbean places go all out on poolside servers. If you want to check out Panama, just get use to things being different! We would definately return again to this place, and maybe bring our kids the next time. Our kids are 7 & 8, so we didn't think this would be a place for them, and left them with the grandparents. I think if they had a "Family" pool or "Kiddy Water Tower" then they would have loved the place, but they don't. I don't think this would be a great place for kids under 12, but I can't say for certain since we didn't bring them. They had a kid's club, but it's not like a Disney level club filled with various age ranges of play equipment. They had a playground but I doubt that would have been safe to use considering how how it gets, and it would probably get hot on little legs and bums if they go out and play on the equipment after lunch. If they want to attract more kids, I would recommend a family/kid water activity area/pool, that would let kids play in water without hearing foul-mouthed college kids slurring their 4-letter words all day. The main play pool is right where the pool-bar is located, and that's where all of the college aged and middle-aged wanna-be college drunks come to hang out and get drunk before lunch. We always went to the "Adult Pool", and enjoyed peace and quiet (well, sometimes the adults get talking a little too loud when they hammer a couple down, but much better than the drunk pool). ”
