For our first night in Panama, we (party of 3) booked a last minute room in this hotel. The staff was nice. The room was ok (sheets with lasting stains and no door separating the toilets). As named, it is really a party hotel: nice roof top with nice drink served while dj played some music. Music that we could here till 2 from our beds, as well as the party people coming back later.
If you want to book a room at the worst hotel in the world, please book at Gatto Blanco Party hotel. Dirty room, sticky floor, loud, no warm water and so much more. The photo's on the site do not correspond to reality! Right now, I am disappointed in tripadvisor. Thought this was a quality label!? The room was so disgusting that I didn't take any pictures. Again, do not trust the pictures on the site! I just wanted to check out asap and go to another hotel.
Fist things first, yes it is loud at night, Casco Antiguo is small and there are a number of rooftop bars all over the town, this is one of them, they all throw parties at night, its hard to escape. Gatto Blanco's rooftop bar by day is lovely place to catch the breeze and a cold cerveza. it is low key during the day. At night there is a DJ and a lot more people, it is a public access bar, not just for hotel guests. the rooms were always very clean, well stocked, and unique decor. Incredible value in my opinion.
If I ever come back to this place, it will be too soon. It was expensive, and it had no hot water." I paid the Deluxe" room. The bed was small. Do not trust the pictures or images. The bathroom has no door. When I complained at the front desk for giving me less than they offered, they refused to give the money back of the first night. Of course, I walked out the next day and went to a real 5 star hotel for less money. A total fraud.
Room wasn't clean enough, sticky floor and shower facilities only for 1 person instead of 2. My comment rwgarding second blancket was ignored and the receptionist even wasn't informed about prefferences. There is no door from the bedroom to bathroom, just imagine! Moreover, he didn't speak English. We were told on arrival that the music would stop at 2am, but it didn't and we had to call several times to make FO move. Weird to hear from personnel 'what shall I do', that's their job not mine. We weren't informed that the nextby hotel would have party till morning, and in my opinion when you see travellers, who had a 20 hours trip and finally got the destination at 22 o'clock you have to be at least more professional to say honestly the situation and the experience you would get. I didn't enjoy that had to proove I booked a room with breakfast included. In this case had to switch my booking.com app to Espanol as the guy was non English at all. Manager wasn't pleasant, very rude, doesn't listen, did't appologize for the inconvinience, dealed unprofessional, he could be thanksfull at least for the caused situation for future. He doesn't inspire confidence, speaks like beggar from prison in past and made me even more disappointed for the stay. Great example of non hotellier behaviour and attitude.…
