Good choice, international travellers, kitchen, breakfast, good ambient - everything really good. I enjoyed the most the sunsets and sunrises from the rooftop! And location - you are in the heart of the old town.

I spent one month at the hostel and I had great time. The room was big and clean with nice view. The best thing was the location, just in the middle of the Historic head of the city; full or restaurants, bars and cultural activities.

Panamericana was a gem of a hostel in a great area. Casco Viejo is gorgeous and panamericana sits right in the hear overlooking cafes a park and the sea wall. The private rooms were simple and nice with unique decorative paint and bright lighting. Noise does travel a bit however, but so too does the air. If you're hosteling you are doing it for cheap adventure and learning. Panamericana fits that goal very well. It's big, full of travelers from all over, mostly young. It's clean, pest-free, in a really great location for getting to know Panama City. It's loud late at night with music and celebrating; never quiet. A lot of noisy construction happening all...

We came to this place and got a room which was decent but not like in the pictures on the website. The room was however ok and the hotel itself was quite cozy and backpacker-ish. The bad part was that we had a reservation later on in Panama for five days on this hotel but then they said the hotel...

The hostel has good location, is always clean, the bathrooms are good and the price is economic. Does not have any games or anything that encourages interaction between guests. It is safe, the service is good and the kitchen is also well equipped.

This was a last minute decision to arrive in Panama City that day, we found this place in our guidebook and stayed one night before moving to friends. The hostel is huge! And with this comes the noise that sneaks into the room through the open part above the room doors. But this really was the only downside - other...

Reading all the reviews for Panamericana marked as terrible and poor - I was very angry at myself that I didnt check it before. Looks like that when you reserve the room and get the confirmation - its ok for Panamericana to tell you that there are no rooms which you requested. Instead of room with private bathroom I ended...

I really enjoyed my stay at Panamericana. Great location and great rooms, except that it can be a bit noisy in the night, because the rooms are 'open' to the hallway. The breakfast only includes white bread, jelly, peanutbutter, bananas and the/coffee.

“It's a youth hostel!! Expect noise, late night fun and games. A few private rooms, mostly dorm rooms with double-deck cots. Go somewhere more expensive if you are there for "good rooms"..”

“If you do decide to stay here, stay on the far sides of the building away from the stairs and light shaft. Go for a room with private bathroom to avoid having drunk 18 year olds throw up all over the shared ones.”
