A group of us from Trinidad and Tobago stayed at this hotel 31st July, 2019 - Aug 2, 2019. Is the worst I have encountered the hotel is old and run down, smelly, rooms untidy, toilet area very filter, no variety for breakfast, the two mornings we ate breakfast was boil eggs and fried eggs, in poor taste not everyone eats eggs, there were no variety in meals. I along with the group was very very disappointed
This is very old hotel that needs some TLC pronto, but if you are looking for a cheap, clean hotel with hot water and nice ac this is your hotel. Breakfast is not that good, but is included in the price as well as the wifi. Overall if you are one to not pay fot pricey hotels cause you rather spend your money sightseeing, shopping or going to restaurants this is your hotel.
Looked online, chose because of price and location, however, we did not book online. We had read online that you could book a room with or without breakfast. When we walked up to reception to reserve our room we were told there was no option, breakfast must be included. The next morning we go to restaurant to get our breakfast and at first we were ignored. When server finally came to our table we were asked our room number and after reviewing the paper on his clipboard we were told that breakfast was NOT included. Server was downright rude. We immediately walked out to reception to just be told we didn't pay for breakfast. The cost of room was more than what we found online (it was $42 w/o breakfast, $50 w/breakfast, we paid $55 w/o breakfast). Construction right out front of hotel but there is construction everywhere in Congrejo. On a more positive note, we liked the pool and the girl in the restaurant/bar at night was friendly. Powerful shower. We only stayed one night due to breakfast debacle; Coffee Max is a much better option anyway.…
The young lady working in the morning shift at the front desk is not nice at all has a very negative attitude It did not only happen to me but I saw the same attitude with other customers. She thinks that she us doing everybody a favor. It has been the most disgusting experience in my life at a hotel. After the first night, I woke up with rash on by body but I did not pay attention to it because I thought it was the weather or something else. The second night it was even worse. It seems there were bugs or the sheets had not been washed properly. I decided to sleep in the small bed and the horrible sensation in my body being bitten did not happen anymore. After I checked out, I changed to another hotel and decided to go see a doctor and I had a rash on my body. He explained to me that it happens when the bedsheets are not clean or the mattress is filled with bugs. Aside from wasting my money on that disgusting hotel, I had to pay 50.00 in medicine and the doctor appointment. I just cant believe this has happened to me and I am sure it has not happened other people and I was the unlucky one to deal with the unfriendly staff and go through hell with that itching. I checked out there days ago and I am still on treatment to get rid of that asquerosidad. I do recommend the restaurant where the staff is friendly and the food is good.…
The hotel key cards are only required to open the door. The very spacious room looked like a studio apartment. The kitchenette featured a mid-sized fridge and a microwave. A single bed serving as a sofa always looks weird. There was plenty of closet space. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom looked great. The A/C worked fine. The free WiFi worked well (no password). I had absolutely no complaints! Tower House Suites isn't a luxury hotel, but it offers large & clean rooms with all the mod cons for a bargain price. The place is tough to beat in terms of value for money, even in a city where hotels are generally good value.
