The place is clean and affordable. Nice outdoor area with good music, friendly staff, but nothing that stands out or would make me want to go back. Although it is easy to get to Casco Viejo or anywhere where most things happen by taxi or by bus, it remains pretty far from everything, considering the numerous options you can find...

We've stayed in a quite a few hostels and cheap hotels in Latin America and this one was slightly below average. We got a private room with a bathroom and the room was in pretty poor shape. Broken furniture, bathroom had seen better days, linens were old, and overall seemed less than clean. My favorite part was how the TV...

I have stayed at Panama By Luis 3 times, this place has fantastic staff, nice safe location, lots of restaurants and bars close by (walking distances), free pancake breakfast, pool table, foosball table, clean kitchen, nice terrace/common area. I recommend this place :)

I wasn't sure about this hostel but I totally regret my choice since the first moment. All the facilities are ridicoulous: no hot water, very few bathrooms compared to the number of guests which forced you to cross other guest rooms as well as small rooms sometimes without windows. I run away after a day of stay...

I enjoyed my stay at Panama by Luis. I traveled alone and I really liked that it was very quiet and in a nice area. The staff was very nice and helpful also. I rented the single room and it was very convenient and private. I would recommend this place to other travelers as well. Also, there is a free...

I have no major complaints, spent a few nights here. Room was clean, had its own bathroom which was clean. Complimentary pancakes and coffee for breakfast. (though the pancakes were not that good). Its walking distance from a 24 hour super market (super 99) so that was helpful. Its easy to catch a taxi to get around. However security was...

Stayed a total of 6 hours one night. No problems, really. They arranged for someone to meet us at the airport, which was nice, then the accommodations were simple... TV didn't work, and cover of a/c came off, but at least it worked. Ended up staying somewhere else a week later when we came back through for our flight, and...

I spent three days at Panama Hostel By Luis and found everything to be just right. It's the kind of place you're guaranteed to meet interesting folk from all walks of life, passing through on amazing adventures. The hostel's location is excellent for proximity to the city and grocery shopping, and not far from the water in a quiet neighborhood...

Luna Castle was booked, so I stayed here instead hoping for the backpacker vibe. A mix of older and younger crowd, I did meet a lot of really awesome people. Omar, one of the managers, good man. There is also a group of locals that just hang out there, can't really say why, but it seemed like they were up...

“If you are a couple and have to opt for the dorms, there is a dorm with a little side room with 2 beds in for a little bit more privacy. The private room is nice, clean and has a TV although the bathroom is shared with the downstairs dorm.”
