Two colleagues and I stayed at the "Casa Cuba" this past August. First let me say that Panama has changed significantly for the better since I last visited in 1995. I personally spent just over two weeks in Casa Cuba and can say in all honesty that for the money (around $30.00 U.S. Dollars per night) the experience can't be...

Let me say first off that apart from charging us extra for a long wait at the airport because he didn't check the flight arrival time for delays (we had no way to contact him by the time the delay was announced) the hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The location is in a slightly sketchy neighborhood but that would...

My husband, daughter (13) and I had a fantastic stay at Casa Cuba. Luis was extremely communicative starting with the first email we sent, which made us feel good about our choice. Having planned every little part of our Panamanian vacation ourselves we were a little worried transportation wouldn't come through, but Julio was there waiting for us when we...

Very nice hostal in Panama - very clean in a good residential area of the city. It is a fair way out of the centre of the city with sparse public transport. However taxis are plentiful and reasonably cheap. Had a lovely few days there during my stay.

Very nice couple. We loved our stay! They picked us up and dropped us off at the airport which was nice after a long flight. We didn't speak very much spanish so Luis helped us get good drivers and even arranged a car tour for us. We brought our little 1 1/2yr old boy and they were very accommodating and...

Luis and Theresa were very friendly and accomodating. Luis picked me up at the airport for $30 which was in the general range ($25-30). The rooms are clean, on the small size but comfortable. There is a wonderful deck to sit on and watch the birds and even a gecko came by to say hi.There was a little covered swimming...

Luis the owner is very friendly (a little intense) and our room was lovely. But two things grated on us. Firstly, you are charged extra for every little thing- $1 for wifi, $1 to use the kitchen, $1 to hold your bags and the list goes on. Secondly, the location is terrible! It is a long way from anywhere you...

I stayed here several nights on a recent trip to Panama. Luis the owner was incredibly helpful and accommodating. His wife also was fantastic and cooks an incredible breakfast. The rooms were clean, had great amenities, and the price was right. Luis arranged airport transfers, let me store large luggage while I was out in the jungle, and treated me...

“Sorry, no spa on site that I know of, but I'm sure Luis can help you find an excellent one nearby. Check the prices on individual rooms. We had a great room with a queen size bed and a single bed, a private restroom with a shower, hot water, and good water pressure. The rooms are named after the different regions of Cuba. Ours was the Las Matanzas room. This room and several others at the hostal also have access through the back door of the room to a shared balcony overlooking a beautiful canal with lots of tall trees growing around it and a striking city skyline on the horizon.”
