This hotel is all about a great customer experience, Too few hotels greet people with this level of professionalism and caring. The hotel is very convenient to everything in Managua, is well kept and the people truly care. One of the best hotel experiences I have had in the last couple years, I am grateful for the excellent service provided…....

We had the most wonderful stay at Hotel Boutique Villa Maya. What a fantastic gem so close to the hustle and bustle of the city. The place was impeccably maintained and beautifully decorated. The rooms are large and very comfortable. I can't say enough about the quality of service. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel has a...

Spent a week at this location this past November. Best stay ever while in Nicaragua. We are returning for another stay in April of this year. Will not stay anywhere else as you can't beat the atmosphere, the service, the tranquility of the early morning and evening hours while lounging on the patio in a rocker. Thank you Vilma and...

Over the past 3 years I've had the pleasure to consider Villa Maya as my home-away-from-home while doing business in Managua, Nicaragua. This beautiful little villa has an air of genteel and familial hospitality, without pretension. The owners Luis and Vilma Mendez are extremely considerate and welcoming, catering to their guests every need. During my last stay Vilma drove me...

We found this hotel because all of our other faves were sold-out. We own a hotel in Mechapa Nicaragua so we are often kind-hearted to the brave hotel owners here. The Manager Orlando Andino is great- patient with our multiple calls to try to find the place given the sketchy directions on the website and even having GPS dialed in....

Vilma, Thank you so much for welcoming us into your life. During our stay at Villa Maya we felt like part of the family. Your husban was a wealth of knowledge for me and I am indebted to you for the comfort you gave my wife. Your gardens are beautiful, the house is very comfortable, I could have moved in....

Hotel Boutique Villa Maya, charming place with lovely pool and gardens. We were only there for an overnight, arriving in the afternoon. I liked it much better than the Airport Hotels but certainly a bit further from the airport about 15 min in no traffic. More of a B&B feel, no bar. I am not sure if this is against...

This place is fantastic, a perfect haven from the chaotic-ness of Managua. It feels like you are in a home. The family that own Villa Maya are extremely welcoming - they arranged transport for me from the airport and even kept the kitchen open (it was close to mifmnight when I arrived) in case I was hungry. The rooms are...

Charming Boutique Hotel in Managua. The rooms remodeled colonial house with a beautiful tropical garden and swimming pool. It counts with a total of nine private rooms, all with private bathrooms, water heated with solar energy, air conditioning, TV with cable, wireless internet, working desks, alarm clocks, telephones, security boxes, etc. Some of them have their own private balcony that opens to the garden and/or swimming pool. The hotel: An Oasis in the city. Our location is ideally for everybody: We are steps away from the city but not in the city! So if you have business downtown, it is a 10 min drive. But if you want to enjoy nature, have a tranquil time to relax and be pampered, Villa Maya is the perfect place. We are close to national attractions (Volcan Masaya, 10 min drive, Granada, 30 min drive) and local malls, shops and the best restaurants (Galerias Santo Domingo) in Managua just 5 min away. The owners: We are a mature couple with over 30 years together. Vilma is an artist from Guatemala and Luis is a lawyer from Nicaragua. Both met and studied at UC Berkeley in the Bay Area in California. Our goal is to provide a boutique hotel option for Managua giving a personalized service to all of our guests while ensuring that our operations are respectful with the environment.*Breakfast a la carte ... more   less
