We stayed in this hotel for two nights and we were really lucky as one of those days Eurovision red carpet event took place just outside the hotel and our balcony (14 floor) had great view of it. So we kinda felt like VIP :) The hotel is really old and didn't change much from Soviet times so don't expect...

Soviet era hotel. Refurbished. Probably twenty years ago, judging by materials and conditions of a bath equipments. Clean. Tiny rooms. At my taste what they call "junior suite" in any other hotel would be just "standard". Booking.com promised among other "large bed, hair conditioner, slippers, bottle of water", but none of above haven't been offered in the room. Bed is...

Stayed at the hotel over the Easter break, and the hotel's location is great. One is able to walk to the high street with easy access to a range of shops, both luxury (Gucci, etc) and the normal high street shops (Zara, Mango, etc). Also, the hotel is just a few mins walk from the square where groups of tourists...

We had been booked into this hotel by our hosts as a hotel close to the government buildings and historically used by senior politicians in the pre-independence era and now still used by visitors to the government buildings. Location was as described and very close to that district of Kiev and is advertised as 4*. It is comfortable but has...

The hotel was build during the Soviet rule and hasn't really been modernised ever since. Still everything is decent and the service is not bad at all.. One thing I was not too happy about was the water from the shower. It seemed a bit yellow.. We didn't really trust it. The restaurant has a great amount of choice (mostly...

This hotel is located in walking distance of the city center. However, the streets to the center are steep. Metro is close, too, and taxi prices are fair. The hotel seems old and a bit worn out, but it's a nice hotel with friendly staff. A suggestion for the manager would be to serve breakfast before 7.30. That is very...

Even though my reservation was lost (then later found) the front desk was VERY accommodating.. made several offers as substitute... building interior recently renovated .. better than average breakfast buffet ... great park across the street for walking .. was lucky enough to have a suite on the top floor with three balconies - all overlooking the river and park...

Good value, but that is all. Really rude staff, rooms not so clean, very Soviet in style. Breakfast was awful. Would not recommend to anyone as I am sue better accommodations could be found at same price.

An OK hotel in the posh Lypky district of Kiev. Fairly good location for tourists - right between Kreschatyk to the west, the Lavra complex to the east and directly opposite one of Kievs most beautiful parks. The hotel has not been renovated for some time but offers very good value for money. Service and breakfast are very good.

After two months on archaeological field work. Felt like heaven to come back to a real comfortable bed, a long hot shower. Soviet style - but really nice site with good views from the balcony out over the city. Quick access to everything from the Arsnenal metro just down the road. But you can easily just walk down to the...
