Nothing too bad or too good. I arrived late and tired on a rainy day. Head for resto quickly. Dinner was very good and I tried 2 different glasses of house wines which were decent. Maitre'd spoke some English,
The room was clean, quiet and thankfully smoke free - although the swarm of small flies in the bathroom was a bit disconcerting. There is no safe in the room and no tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast room looking over the forest is quite lovely but often packed with noisy package tourists. It is removed from the city centre.
I think the hotel was ok 25 years ago- the rooms are smelly, the restaurant has poor choises, the stuff doesn t speak english and it s pretty far away from the center. The surroundings are ok- a forest like park- ok for running. Choose something else!
The room stank of cigarettes and dust, spider in our bath and dirty toilet... generally the hotel is old and dated and feels dirty and dusty. The female staff were rude and we felt unwelcome... one guy at reception was helpful but otherwise a generally crap experience, would not ever consider returning or recommending.
Beautiful place, although I had an issue with cleanliness. Plumbing was terrible, and things did not work. Excellent breakfast. Walking distance to one of the campuses of Belgrade University. Still, I would recommend staying in Center City if you want to feel Belgrade. You may get a better deal.
