I am completely speechless. The cleanliness, the gourmet dishes, the friendly staff, everything was perfect! I highly reccommend the choice of executive rooms which provide better city views and more space in each room.
We spent five days with he family at the Hilton Athenee. The stay was faultless. All staff were without exception absolutely wonderful and kids friendly. One to point out was Gabriella at breakfast every morning, welcoming and aura of happiness. After full day of touring it was very nice to go to the spa/ swimming pool/ gym, well managed and clean. Large buffet spread for breakfast with tip top service. Overall a very pleasant stay, this was our first visit to Bucharest and found it to be a great city with wonderful people. Have to return sometime in the future.
First of all the rooms aren't soundproof at all. You could hear ok your neighbours. The view in the room we stayed in was like looking into a back alley of a bad neighborhood. The breakfast is very low on options. They asked for a money guarantee for our stay
Always a treat to stay at this hotel. Great history (where spies met during WW2 and Cold War), great ambiance and close to everything including Old Town. The front desk was always so helpful and made check-in delightful. The concierge got us reservations to visit Parliament and gave us some secret spots to visit that even locals miss. Monika in Executive Lounge is a huge asset and always greeted us with a smile. So nice to stay at this Old World but modern hotel. bonus - fastest internet in Europe so far!
This Hilton is in a nice area of the City (walking distance to center and old town). However, the building and the interior is a bit aged and needs a renovation. Otherwise, good service and nice breakfast buffet. To be improved checkout!
