We spent 4 weeks in the "Mango" Muri Shell Bungalow and were made to feel welcome from day 1 with excellent hosts Terry & Pu. Coming from Canada in January, we found the weather very hot and welcoming and the ceiling fan was all we needed to stay comfortable at night. It was their rainy season but that did not...

Terry and Pu always make our time in Rarotanga special. Muri Beach is idillic and a day canoeing out to the island and exploring the beach is fabulous. We also get to enjoy the local sports events. Local cultural show is worth a visit. Terry spends many hours cleaning the units for new guests and Pu spends many hours washing...

We had a delightful stay at Shell Bungalows from Aug 29 to Sep 6, 2011. We were in bungalow 1 and my parents were next door in number 2 so we basically had the beautiful garden all to ourselves. The price was fantastic considering we were able to self cater. My parents-in-law stayed at some bungalows further up the road...

We stayed in the bungalows in July. My husband and I with our 11 yr old son were in the larger of the 2 with the mezzanine room and my parents were next door in the double. We had the most relaxing perfect holiday making good use of the BBQs on the deck which made a nice change from eating...

We have stayed several times at Muri Shells and have loved every minute of our stays. Terry and Pupu make us so welcome - they are fantastic hosts - and the accommodation and garden setting is first class. Everything and more that we require is there. The family dog, Lapsalot and all the hens with their young chicks are very...

This was the 7th time we have visited Rarotonga but the first time we had stayed at Muri Shell bungalows and it was one of the best places we have stayed on the Island (we have stayed at some lovely resorts on prior visits, but this place is A1 in our books!)Terry is a fantastic host, and we just loved...

We stayed in the flat as the bungalows were booked. It was relatively clean and quite spacious. The kitchen was a bonus. It is a 5 minute walk to the water, in one of the best locations on the island. The owner, Terry, was friendly and full of local knowledge. Our only complaints would be the noise level, we were...

We visited Rarotonga for our sons wedding and we had both bungalows. The site was perfect for entertaining our other friends and family out on the lawn in a private garden area. It was just magic. The setting is perfect. A short stroll down the private lane to the beach. Right next to the Pacific resort so we could get...

I had a two week holiday here with friends and it is a little taste of heaven. A short walk to the lagoon which is just beautiful. A short walk to resort for afternoon drinks on lagoon, short walk to breaky and internet. Everything required is here and the hospitality of hosts Terry Lambert and Mama Lambert is just awesome....

“The Mango Bungalow is furtherest away from Te Vara Nui, situated next door, which has night shows - I personally love the sound of Island drums, but it may bug some people. The roosters require chasing sometimes especially early in the morning.”
