Even though I stayed only a few days, I‘ve got to say that the hostel is one of the best choices I made in Montevideo. The facilities are clean and the eight bed mixed room comfortable with the possibility to save my stuff in a locked box under the bed (bring lock). The kitchen is free for use and there...

Pretty average hostel Good points: Decent location, good wifi, helpful and friendly staff Bad points: Rooms smell musty There isn't much of a common area. There are tables in the kitchen area and couple couches by the front desk, but most people sit outside the front of the building. Beds are very small. I'm 6'3" but this is the first...

Our stay at dolce vita wasn't bad. I think I would describe it all as very average. Average comfort in beds/pillows, average convenience in location (kind of right in the middle between the terminal and the old town), average breakfast, average cleanliness, average friendliness of staff... In short, nothing really stands out about this hostel, but it's fine for a...

My boyfriend and I stayed three nights at this hostel and it was truly one of the best that we've stayed at during our 2-month South American journey. The first two nights we stayed in the private room which was really cute. The third night the room had been already booked so we decided to stay in the 4-bed dorm....

The hostel is big and well located. It's architecture is charming and the dorms are very spacious. Pity they don't have windows. The bathrooms are not at the same level as the rest but everithing is very clean. The staff is really friendly and helpful: they will explain anything you need to know about montevideo.

The hostel is very well located on a calm street in an old neighborhood with charming houses and buldings. I found the hostel kitchen clean, spacious and organized. The staff was very helpful and people from Montevideo in general are very friendly. I reccommend the city as well as the hostel!

Positives : Easy check-in process with lovely young girl who spoke excellent English. HUGE airy dorms -- lots of space, very clean. Big open plan, high ceilings. SUPER friendly and helpful staff. I had an entire dorm to myself -- the hostel was pretty much empty, though the HI hostel I'd tried to book into was full. That seemed a...

I stayed here for a couple of nights in the girls dorm. Room was good and cozy. They separate men and women's washroom which is nice (2 toilets and 2 showers for the girls. Good enough.) The hostel is clean. The staff is SUPER nice. There is a kitchen to cook and tables to eat. Lots of common hang out...

I came to Montevideo after visiting Iguazu, Buenos Aires and Colonia. Sadly, it was the worst hostel we stayed in. The staff was very nice and helpful, and there was a very good vibe (they even organized a nice party), but I think rooms could be better. There is only 1 shower and 2 waters for all the men, and...

I spent three great weeks at the Dolce Vita on leaving Montevideo Uruguay after leaving my home of 7 years. It is a great place for tourists, employees who are working short term in Montevideo. It is family friendly, couple friendly, single friendly, etc. I love the neighborhood on the border of Palermo and the Center of Mvd. It is...

In Dolce Vita! in the center of downtown in the safe and typical neighbourhood of Palermo, at 10 minutes by walk from Ciudad Vieja and the city coast (La Rambla). Here you can choose between 5 spacious shared rooms and 1 private double room. The price includes wifi connection, common PCs, free breakfast, a fully equipped kitchen, lockers under the beds for each guest, tv with satellite, a free pool table and a typical “parrilla” BBQ on the terrace.
