Travelled through South America for 7 months and this was some of the best customer service we received. Stayed during the off season so we got a great rate and upgraded to a private room that was massive. Close to the "old city" and main entertainment districts the building belonged to a rich family in the early 1900's and though...

Nice and original hotel. Some rooms are very noisy. Furniture and design is original! Very nice and kind people. This hotel is very well located in the Montevideo downtown very near of all facilities.

Selected this hotel because of it's location to the center part of the city, which was an excellent choice. While the hotel was "adequate" it has seen it's better days. During the days, this was probably a nice hotel in the heart of the city, but it no longer is chic. The wifi was excellent and speedy in the room,...

The front door and the appearance of the reception is deceiving, I was seriously worried as we walked in and visited the front desk. The building is very old and over due for serious renovation, some basic things in the rooms are dysfunctional: a lamp that doesn't turn on, a screw in your washroom is missing. But I still choose...

First I will cite the good things about this hotel. 1. It is in a perfect location, right across from Teatro Solis and right in the middle of the city at the edge of Ciudad Vieja and Plaza Independencia; 2. The outside building is pretty and nice and it is centrally located around lively bars, restaurants, cafes and a real...

This is an ok hotel. For the price I paid, i wasn't expecting a Hilton. The room I got was big and clean. The shared bathroom was clean but the shower wasn't quite in good condition. We were on the 3rd floor without elevator. The breakfast was very good. It is at a local restaurant nearby. I recommend this hotel...

I booked this hotel based on the positive 5 point reviews on trip advisor, it was a last minute booking and I hoped it would be as good as it sounded. Sadly, it was not. I don't usually leave a negative review but I think the current reviews here are overstated. Pros: - Right in the 'old city' can walk...

I stayed only one night so with my partner so we gave it a go. Charmed, old, vintage style in the center of the old city, couldn't be bad. As a vintage style and flea market lover, I thought even if I had a room near to the loud bars -as I was trip-advised-, I would do my best to...

Lovely hotel at the best location if staying in the old city. It is like climbing right in to a glamorous history - the hotel was very dated but charming! We stayed in a large 3- bed room facing the theatre, 2 adults and one child (6 years old). We had our own bathroom, a small balcony and got breakfast...
