The hotel is located right in the railway station making it the most convenient location to catch an early train to MP. On the way back, we could even collect our luggage fr the hotel before making our way to the bus station to catch our onwards bus ride back to Cusco (we took the bimodal svc back). Despite the...

Had the vegetarian antipasto, meat tasting plate, and a salad. All was great, we really liked the vegetarian antipasto. Lucky we got there early 5:30pm (as the restaurant opened at 6pm) as we did not have a reservation.

Everything from the fact that this hotel is in the train station (right on the track) to the padlocks for entrance to the rooms and the provision of ear plugs tells you this is a very different hotel. Quirky, but rustic. We really liked it. The rooms are in wings over looking an outdoor courtyard. They have floor boards which...

We stayed nearly a week here and loved it. The hotel is lovely, surrounded by an organic garden with amazing views of the mountains and the ruins just above the town. Our room was big, the beds have comfortable sheets and warm blankets. Nice window seat in the room along with a couch and a hammock in the back garden....

Located at the Ollantaytambo train station. This hope is a gem, rooms are behind station off garden. Wonderful large rooms, good views and owners are very environmentally centered. Catch a morning train to Machu Picchu is very easy.

Stayed here 2 nights and the hotel is beautiful. The breakfast provided was delicious and really sets you up well for the day. The only downside to our stay was that we were put in a room at the front of the hotel and the trains were a little noisy.

Convenient - it's at the train station. Brings back the romance to travel. Beautiful little courtyard to relax in with a drink. Views of the mountains. Just a short walk to the shops, to food, (has a nice restaurant too), the Chocolate Museum and the ruins. Charming - it's like going back in time when travel wasn't so rushed and...

I got off the train from Machu picchu, and walked right into the lobby without having to exit the platform. You do hear the train horns from inside the property, but I didn't find it bothersome at all. I stayed one night with another couple in the "Casita" house - very beautiful, comfortable and cozy. It had a full kitchen...

Stayed here for one night before visiting Machu Picchu and could not understand how this place has so many amazing reviews. Upon arrival we were escorted to our room and as soon as we walked in the lights went out in the entire place. We were told they are working on the problem and we should visit the restaurant while...

Thanks for your feedback. We're thrilled you could find one good thing about your stay with us. The power outage was throughout Ollantaytambo, something we have no control over at El Albergue. We do have a generator which ensures the lights turn on again within minutes. As explained on our website, we do our best to respect the environment and...

If you are taking a train to or from Ollantaytambo station and need to stay overnight this is just about the most convenient place as it is literally on the station platform. The rooms are pleasant and the restaurant is very good. Beware, the trains start blowing their horns from about 05.30 in the morning and we were less than...
