We stayed one night and appeared to be the only guests at the time. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The wifi worked in the common area. They made dinner for us as it was late when we arrived and we were tired. The yard is filled with plants, flowers and birds. Very pleasant.

The hotel is very nice and clean. We were picked up at the train station and taken to the hotel...it would be too far to walk. Being away from the main town and the train station makes for a quiet atmosphere. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds. The halls are decorated with Inca costumes and textiles. The food... More

This hotel has a delightful location away from the hubbub of the train station and main square, yet just two blocks from the Sun Temple Inca ruins. An upper terrace offers views of lush fields and soaring mountains. The hotel has many unique artistic touches, such as artifacts displayed beneath glass bricks in the floor. Marcos, the main staff person,... More

Very quiet location but walkable to ruins. We were very well taken care of by the hotel staff member (Marco?) who is the most attentive and polite employee we have ever met. He prepared a wonderful breakfast and this hotel provided transportation to the train station. The rooms are dated but clean and wi-fi is slow. No TVs either but... More

This was the perfect place to spend a day acclimatizing to the altitude before moving on to Machu Picchu. It's quiet, homey but very nicely decorated, with a pretty view and a comfortable lounge. It's just a few minutes' walk from downtown; they also have delivery service from a decent restaurant. The service was top-notch from start to finish. They... More

Stayed for 2 nights at this little boutique hotel on the way to and from Machu Picchu. It was located away from the main town square but close to the ruins of Ollantaytambo. The hotel was well appointed, very clean and nicely decorated with a beautiful garden. Breakfast was hearty with a variety of foods. The internet however was slow... More

I don't usually post reviews, but I have to pass on my experience. Right before settling into my room, I had my phone stolen from me while I was out playing soccer at a nearby field. I was certain that I would never see my phone again, but here's what the hotel owner and employees did for me: - we... More

Let me start off by saying that any cons we experienced we just as easily overlooked because of the wonderful staff that was always so willing to please. Truly, the biggest con was the never-ending barking dog(s) throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper and sensitive to noise, this may be a deal breaker. Perhaps bring ear plugs?... More

I planned to visit Machu Pichu and decided to stay in Ollantaytambo (Ollanta), because it is much closer to it than Cusco (and is the starting point for the train to Machu Pichu) and 600 meters lower. I selected the hotel based on Booking.com recommendations. When we reached Ollanta (a very poor village) and did not know what to expect.... More
