We stayed one night at this hotel. The staff were very nice and extremely helpful. The breakfast was copious and delicious, especially the fresh orange juice and scrambled eggs. The room had a lovely view of the mountains, courtyard, and garden. (We chose the deluxe double). It's 2 blocks from the town plaza, which is a great place to sit...

5 of us spent 2 nights in this hotel before our trip to Machu Picchu. The rooms were comfortable, grounds were amazing, and staff were friendly and helpful. It was only a short 5 minute walk to the main square, and about 15 minute walk to the ruins. Restaurants were nearby, and the hotel restaurant served a good meal.

The hotel is very nice, tucked away in a garden on the edge of Ollantaytambo (but 1 min walk to the main plaza, the village is very small). It is quiet and well insulated from the frenzy of mini vans transfering tourists to and from Cusco. Rooms and bathrooms are fairly modern and clean, standard rooms are very small though....

This was a lovely surprise. So much character with views looking out to the mountains. Beautiful gardens, communal areas with fireplace, restaurant with bar. Our Room was spacious with some new fancy LED lighting and fancy heating facility. Recently renovated. Our friends room was a bit dated. We spent most of our time discovering the town, it's cafes and the...

After traveling on a 1,500 year old road and dim lighting, we pulled up in front of the sign for the hotel. A locked door with a buzzer. Opened by a outstanding staff that lead us into a beautiful courtyard. Rooms very clean. Second night the seven of us ate in the restaurant when all the electricity went out in...

This place is one of the furthest from the train station (15 mins walk). Bathroom is spacious but it takes ages to get hot water going (a few mins) but it will get there. It's a decent overnight stay but if location is key then look elsewhere. Beds are okay, plenty of warm blankets, 3 layers so you'll be toasty!...

Samanapaq is a cozy, lushly landscaped hotel hidden behind a walled enclosure. The garden and grounds are beautiful as is the lounge area. The room was a good size with a great shower and hot water. The breakfast consisted of standard scrambled eggs, cereal, fruit and yogurt, oatmeal and sliced meats and cheeses with breads. It was quite sufficient and...

I stayed at Hotel Samanapaq for one night before heading up to Aguas Calientes. My friend and I had a standard double twin room with a nice sized bathroom and plenty of hot water. Before our arrival, I had coordinated with the hotel for a hotel transfer from Cusco airport. My inquires were promptly answered and I was given the...

This is a great little hotel with walled-in grounds and gardens that keep it quiet and somewhat secluded. Our room was clean and had cool l.e.d. mood lighting. There was a portable heater but we didn't need it. Our stay was too brief to thoroughly enjoy the property which has an on-site restaurant, comfortable lounge area, and very pretty garden....

We stayed here four nights to tour the Sacred Valley. The hotel has great potential but falls short of expectations. The room was clean and large. We took the matrimonial room to have a large bed. The bathroom was large and also clean. So, what was wrong? The room was cold and the little space heater didn't help a lot....
