Nice little rooms with a view over a pretty courtyard, right next to the ruins - nothing fancy but good enough. Good breakfast (typical v nice fresh bread jam butter and hot drink) where you can ask for as much as you like. We ate twice a much as any other guest and the lady liked it. Her and her...

We were very happy with this hostal in Ollantaytambo. The rooms were clean, and there is a cute courtyard with a nice breakfast room. The hosts were very accommodating and stored our bags for a night when we went to Machu Picchu. Internet was available. I stayed at another, much more pricey place in Ollantaytambo on a previous trip, but...

Basic, clean, comfortable place to stay. Ollanta is a cute little town. The hostel is located very close to the base of the ruins, which are really neat and bigger than I'd expected. We had a view of them from our room. No heat in the room but the blankets keep you plently warm at night. We saw the tankless...

Travellers who make a day trip to the Sacred Valley miss the opportunity to spend some time in this wonderful town and at this wonderful hostel. This was my second trip to Ollantaytambo, with our Inka Trail Trek starting and finishing in Ollantaytambo. The K’uychy Punku was by far my best experience for accommodation. The hostel is located on the...

We spent three nights here. Two before Machu Picchu and one after. The family that runs it was so nice and always ready to help in any way. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We could hear the water in the aqueduct in the street outside running all night, it was very soothing. It was very...

We stayed here two nights: one night before heading to Machu Picchu and one night when we came back. Its location is right at the base of the ruins, on a very quaint street. It's a hike to the train station, but that was not a big deal to us. The family that owns and runs the place is extremely...

Great, clean and simple place to lay your head. Wonderful staff, friendly and helpful. Found us a guide to go horsebackriding. You can see the ruins from your rooms window. Pretty court yard with wonderful plants and trees. Great simple breakfast, fresh squeezed orange juice. This is a cute town and really nice people. Might have been my favorite small...

We spent two nights at the K’uychi Punku Hostal (which means Rainbow Gate Inn) in May 2009, and it was one of our favorite hostels in Peru. It’s a small and relatively unknown hostel with a great location, just a few steps off the Plaza Araccama right at the base of the Ollantaytambo ruins. The Plaza is busy during the...

We arrived in Ollanta during a Sacred Valley tour. There, looking at the edifications, we spoted this gem. the location couldn't be better, at the entrance of the ruins. All restaurants and the Plaza de Armas are within a 5 minute walk ( including the only Internet cafe in town). The hostel is characterized by a exotic garden that may...

“L'unico problema è che l'acqua calda va SEMPRE controllata prima di fare la doccia. Se ci sono problemi, tuttavia, li risolveranno in pochi minuti. BE sure to check the hot water before having a shower. They can have problems with it, but they will sort every probelm out in 2 minutes, if you only ask.”
