A truly magical place to stay! The gardens and views were beautiful, but be aware that you are paying for the location... do not have high expectations for the room or you will likely be disappointed. Clean and modern, but definitely not what you might expect at this price-point.

This luxury hotel is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Machu Picchu. It is located adjacent to the entrance to the historic site, and offers wonderful amenities: good food, great service, excellent guides. After our pleasant trip on the Hiram Bingham, I was doing well, but my partner was having difficulty with the altitude and the ride up (a...

We just left this hotel on our journey through Peru. We left Cusco and took the Hiram Belmond train to the bus transfer at the bottom of the mountain of Machu Picchu. After a very very long travel from Los Angeles with two children to say we were exhausted was an understatement. Our transfer to and from the train to...

It's an expensive place for sure but it's such a fantastic location. If you stay a night here you can be last out of Machu Picchu in the evening and first inside in the morning. It's only limited space that stops this being a 5 star. The food is excellent. The service is wonderful. And the evening Pisco tasting and...

Location is everything !! Belmont Sanctuary Lodge is the ONLY hotel with the right location. Yes, it is expensive, but this is where You close Your eyes, swipe the creditcard and erase the memory. The Sanctuary Lodge takes your Machu Picchu experience to the next level. Staying here allows morning and evening access outside the busy mid day, when the site is over run with day trippers. We were able to tip the night guard to gain access to the site at night, and that was really magical. You will think you can touch...

Dear Fabio, I`m deeply sorry for the inconvenience with the comunication by email, like was explained, local buses are ruled by the company that operate the road and unfortunately they do not give us a lot of options to help our guests in this kind of situation. If your budget stretches to the rates, it's well worth it to stay here while you are exploring the ruins at Machu Picchu. This lodge is smaller and simpler than the other hotels in the Belmond group, but offers the same excellent levels of service.
