The room we had was fine for a night. It is a very noisy location, so don't expect to get much sleep. And don't expect hot water or great service. After a long day at the ruins, it took close to an HOUR to find someone to get our bags out of storage!! No one was at the "front desk"...

It truly was a strange and interesting place. The family story and reviews (and price) is what lead me to stay here. We had a choice of small room with 2 doubles on the main floor for about $75.00. The higher rooms were a bit bigger and nicer but seemed noisy so we opted for the smaller room. The front...

We got a good rate and having seen the reviews decided to spend a night in Grinco Bill's. They seemed quite nice via e-mail when I asked for a pick up at the train station. When we arrived nobody was waiting ( a young man with a golden sign was supposed to be waiting for us upon arrival of our...

This hotel was recommended to my father and I from a friend who owns a B&B in Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley. She warned us that Aguas Calientes is extremely expensive for the money, which was evidenced as I looked around for places to stay. Gringo Bill´s required that I pay through PayPal and the payment did not go through...

We stayed here for one night and for the price it was a little underwhelming...but that's Aguas Calientes for you anyway..overpriced and underwhelming with the focus on extracting as much money from your 1-2 night stay as possible. Fortunately Machu Picchu is amazing!!! Anyway, we paid US$75 for the quality of room I would usually pay US$35-45 for in other...

They didn't meet us at the train as promised and when we arrived our room was gone, even though we booked a month in advance and paid for it with pay pal. They advertise hot tub, pool, heat, telephone, wifi, hot water, etc. However don't have any of it. We noticed the hot water wasn't working in the evening and...

Our stay at Gringo Bill's was awful from the beginning. No one met us at the train, luckily we had a guide meeting us who knew the way. TOok a while to find someone to check us in once we got there....no one at the front desk. We had to find our reservation in the book, they couldn't. Then they...

My spouse and I stayed at Bills for 4 nights in mid November to explore Mapi and the surrounds. We had the jacuzzi-suite w/balconies. We enjoyed our stay. Our room was very spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. The included breakfast was not the best or the worst in Peru. Location is great, right off the town square, internet/expresso close by,...
