During my time in Lima I stayed in several different hotels in the same price range. No doubt that this hotel was the WORST. Pros: - Very well located - Friendly staff Cons: - One day, after room cleaning service, no towels were left. I called to reception and they told me there was a problem and that towels won’t be provided until next day to the whole hotel. - No restaurant in the hotel (only for breakfast). Other hotels in the same price range do have. - Very basic two options and tasteless breakfast every day. I had to take a second breakfast always somewhere else. - Every shower flooded the bathroom for a long time. - Almost imposible to regulate hot water in the shower. You could only only get very cold water or very hot. - Pillows had a terrible yellowish color.
Room was OK, but had to wait nearly 45 minutes for breakfast! It seams the kitchen has not enough workers. We really had to wait a long time (45 mins) for the breakfast. Further, the fruit salad is also not delivered as promised. We expected more than this. Sorry.
Stayed for two nights, nice location on a quiet side street just north of park Kennedy. Close to everything. Front desk personnel on all shifts were excellent. On arrival I had a problem with the air conditioning and front desk person was up to my room within a minute. Checked the unit and asked if he could switch my room. Explaining everything that I had breakfast included and that was located of a different floor from the reception. I chose a American breakfast the fried egg was excellent salted and fried. Potatoes were with fried onion and rosemary good taste but cold both days. The room large king bed fresh cleaned sheets and comfortable. The floor was a bit dirty didn’t want to walk barefoot and the room needs bathroom door painted pealing and rust also on the towel racks. But you get good value for your money here. The other parts of the hotel were well maintained and clean.…
The location is very convenient. On a quiet street but close to all the facilities. Very close to Pariwana Hostel, which offers Lima By Walking Tour which we went to after dropping our bags. Close to restaurants, casa de Cambio etc. The breakfast was amazing, as well as the staff. Rooms were very small but was very comfy. Tip: no need to upgrade to city view, because it’s not much of a view lol!
Great location. Affordable prices. Good service. Walking distance to most attractions in Miraflores. Spacious room, comfortable bed and excellent cable service. WiFi ok Breakfast counts as a real meal.
From the price, to the food , to the staff, everything was excellent! The rooms are not so big but the bed is a huge king bed that can fit 3ppl in it comfortably.. The manager was extremely helpful when I got food poisoning from a place(bodega) outside the hotel. The manager called a doctor he knew that came to my room and got me better w a shot and antibiotics. To me that going above and beyond and very grateful. The food at the hotel was very good, my Peruvian GF said the lomo Saltado was some of the best she tasted and my chicken soup was awesome. The staff was super friendly and always helpful! The location in miraflores was perfect, next to many places to eat and shop the handcrafted Peruvian tapestry... I would highly recommend this place and I didn’t even mention the price we paid was fantastic also. Keep up the great job Mariel!!😃…
The property is located in the neighborhood of Miraflores, walking distance from great restaurants and bars. You can even walk to the coast or just get an Uber for few bucks and then bike up and down the coast were you can find a nice shopping mall and many restaurants. Since we arrived late at night, we decided to eat at the hotel and we were surprised, the food was very good!! The only thing I didn’t like is the noise, Lima is very noisy and people love to honk so it gets a little Noisy at night.
I reccomend this hotel, very friendly staff, very clean and reasonably priced. Near to lots of shopping and restaurants, there is also a local market close by. Had a great stay. You can walk to many shops and restaurants
Stayed here twice, once on arrival and for a longer stay after our Machu Picchu trip. Close to transport, and walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. Breakfast was included, was average in food variety and rude locals take up multiple chairs for their handbags! Seems popular with lots of visitors come and go. Transport to airport can be arranged through the hotel if required. We were promised a free airport pickup for booking over 3 nights, but they refused, saying that we didn't book direct with them (not disclosed earlier).
Mariel hotel is our favorite hotel in Miraflores Lima and we come back to it every year when the price is right. This year I stayed at this hotel 16 nights and was very happy with my stay. The hotel staff are actually the same one from last year, all of them, which was very nice. The breakfast was wonderful with a lot to choose from. The room was very modern and quiet with the isolating window (which is so important in Lima). The cleaning staff went beyond their way to accommodate me. I noticed they cleaned the room earlier as they saw I like to get back to the room at noon to get some rest, fabulous. The location is great- close to the main park and sights and also a very nice stroll to Larcomar shopping mall and to the wonderful views, very secure as well. The only sad thing was to leave this hotel, but I’m sure we will get back to it soon. Thank you for an amazing time at Lima!…
