First of all, the owner is very cool. Paolo was the most helpful guy ever at any opportunity. We had a great BBQ in the back commons, the loose pet guinea pigs in the back yard are cool, the rooms are basic, clean, and lots of hot water. You can use the kitchen to prepare meals as long as you're...

I was a little disappointed with my stay at Pradera Verde. I'd booked a single room with shared bathroom but on arrival I was given a room with private bathroom - all good I thought. However, the room smelt musty, like it hadn't been used for a while (apparently it had been recently decorated) and there was no bulb in...

Not sure why this hostel popped up so high on the list. We, young couple had a bad experience. While the receptionist was reasonably friendly (as commented on by other travellers), he did not care at all about noise during the night, e.g., inviting strange friends over to have dinner at 11.30 pm and watching loud television. The room we...

We stayed here in the last leg of our Peru trip, for 2 nights. We arrived in the Lima bus station, and our wonderful taxi driver took us to this place when we told him we wanted something clean & affordable. We stayed in the room adjoining the courtyard, and it was clean, big, wood floors, big screen tv with...

great place. brand new and very clean. internet and kitchen available. perhaps not the hostel atmosphere some people want....not many people to meet, make friends with....but this may change as it becomes better known. quiet location too. Only very basic english spoken - a disadvantage for some perhaps. Overall: On the basis of what we saw, we'd recommend it highly.

“The first room on the left is a double room, nice big window, nice bathroom 2nd room on the left is a single room with queen bed, nice bathroom, only issue is no outside window...can be a little stuffy but Paolo will hook you up with a fan. Rooms in the back that face the common back yard look awesome, not sure if they have private bathrooms.”
