I have been backpacking in South America for three & half years now and coming back to Lima and HQ Villa is always like coming home. Fun, friendly and well run, the owners always take time for their guests and the staff are all peruvians with English skills :-) The facilities are wonderful with a large TV room, Dining room,...

This hostel has all the capability of earning an excellent but the if's got in the way. If the water worked in my room without having to walk out on the roof and turn on a pump. If the water cisterns on the roof were covered instead of being open to the elements (the water smelled bad and I was...

Nice guesthouse in Miraflores! This IS NOT a party hostel, which is good. Its in a residential area so it's quiet, but its also really close to San Isidro and the rest of Miraflores. Staff was really friendly and helpful! The bathrooms and some of the rooms could be renovated however. But overall, the awesome staff and location of HQ...

Negatives: Worst beds I have ever slept on and I have travelled extensively, literally just a peice of foam, you sink to the bottom on to the wooden planks underneath you and the rest of the foam envelops you in a sweaty mess. Regularly there is no water, for hand washing, showers or toilet flushing - a fairly fundamental requirement...

HQ is located in the very pretty suburb of Miraflores. It's an amazing hostel. The communal areas are decorated beautifully, with art on the walls, a crystal chandelier and a huge stained glass window. there is also a kitchen which you can use if you wish to buy in your own food as it's only B&B. Our rooms was a...

Lovely oasis of calm in Lima and well positioned (easy to reach from the express way and metro buses - catacombs are well worth a look). Staff and owners were extremely helpful and friendly and the common areas are lovely. Room basic but comfortable and a good price for Lima. Would recommend to stay here if you are not after...

This hostel was a lifesaver when we were badly let down by another hostel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Common areas are beautifully decorated and cozy. Our room was tiny and to be honest, the bathroom was horrendous. No hot water in the tap and sporadic in the shower. Quite overpriced. The exchange rate from dollars to soles...
