I put a review of this in the wrong place. I will redo it here. This is a nice rustic jungle lodge. They generate electricity for about two hours each night around dinner time. Otherwise there is no light. The lodge is mostly screened in, and has water for showers, but it is cold and out of the river. The...

This was a lot of fun! No electricity, no hot water, but flush toilets and a nice shower. The rooms were quite basic, yet adequate. It was like camping but on a higher and more comfortable level, with comfy beds and a fully functioning bathroom. Showering in the Amazon river water was a surprise - very soft water and the...

I went on a 3 night adventure and stayed at the Sinchicuy Lodge. My guide, Sondra, was exceptional. He was personable and spoke pretty good English. He actually grew up in a village on the Amazon river and it was obvious that he loved what he is doing. The lodge is really rustic....kind of like a "base camp" or rustic...

We went for three days and two nights and loved it. The river was up so we went everywhere by canoe, which was great, especially nudging through flooded forests and little tributaries. The food was fairly basic but good (and plenty of it) and the room was comfortable. Three days of cold showers is not hard, particularly given how warm...

Went with a group of people and had a great couple of days. rooms were basic but clean . A bit like going to a guide camp with electricity only in the bar area and every room provided with an oil lamp, and being called to dinner by a drum. A pair of ear plugs would be advisable just in...

This lodge was absolutely excellent. Located about an hours boat ride from Iquitos, by the small Sinchicuy river. The facilities were basic but really clean and nice. The tour (3d/2n) was amazing, with walks in the jungle, visits to villages, nice activities, animal spotting, time for relaxing in the hammocks while drinking a beer or two. The food was quite...

We went as a family of 4- Mom/Dad and two kids (ages 3 and 5) and Grandma. We went Friday AM-Sunday PM. The lodge: 1. Rooms: need new netting to close holes into which the mosquitos enter. If you are a mosquito magnet-bring your own net to sleep under or you will be eaten alive because the lodge doesn't provide...

My daughter and I have twice stayed at this Lodge, in April 2010 and we stayed again in April 2013. What more can I say than that having traveled from Seattle Washington and returned, and with hopes to return again in 2016 the lodge is a wonderful experience. our Eco Guide Sandro and our guide Ronnie, were so much fun,...

I think we expected our Machu Picchu adventure to be the highlight of our trip, but our tour with Paseos Amazonicas stole the show. They did everything they said they were going to do, they were responsive, friendly, and affordable. We got to see the highlights of what we wanted to see in a barely 24-hour visit. (Yeah, I know,...
